Chapter 1:

Chapter 1: Kim Taehyung POV-14 years old:

"Happy Birthday Tae!," Jin says as he jumps onto my bed. I groaned internally.

"Thanks hyung. Now, why are you waking me up this early?"

"Did you forget already?" I looked at him questioningly.

"Forget about what?"

"Your first shift! You know, when you shift into your wolf for the first time and find out your wolf identity!," Jin says excitedly, slightly bouncing. As soon as I hear that I shoot up like a rocket.

"Holy shit! I'm shifting today!"

"Hey watch your language!" he says and I give him an are you serious look while he looks at me with a don't mess with me. I just shake it off and change the topic.

"I wonder what wolf type I'll be."

"As long as it's not omega, I'll be happy with whatever you become". I wince at the thought. Since I was young, I was told by my pack that omegas are weak beings that deserved to be punished just for their existence. Of course, I don't believe this. I mean, look at my brother Jin; he's an omega and is as strong as a beta. Only I know what he truly is though. If the pack or my family were to find out that jin is an omega, he would be captured and sent off to who knows where, never to be seen again. The only reason why my brother has been able to stay hidden is because he was able to find moonflower; a very rare flower that produces toxins that hides your wolf's true self. My pack believes Jin is a beta. I just hope it stays that way.

"Alright," Jin says as he gets up off my bed, " Get ready and then come downstairs. Your breakfast is on the counter." He then walks out.

"Okay. I'll be down soon." I get up, get dressed, and then go down stairs to eat. Once I finish my breakfast I head outside, where I see my parents and jin are waiting.

"Happy Birthday! Are you excited sweetie?," my mom says joyfully.

"Yeah, mostly nervous though" I say wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans.

" Don't be. You'll be just fine. Who knows, you might even become an alpha!," My dad says while walking up to me and embracing me in a hug. Once he lets go, I start to feel a tingling sensation through my body.

"I feel kind of funny."

"It's starting! You're starting to shift!" my mom says while jumping up and down. Then the tingling is replaced with burning hot pain that licks across my entire body. My knees buckle and I crash to the ground with an ear-splitting scream. My mom soothingly rubs my back while Jin holds my hand tightly as my bones start to shift and rearrange. Then the pain stops. I look down at my hands to see paws covered in fur as white as freshly fallen snow. My eyes widen at the strange color. I look up to see my family had moved several feet away from me, looking at me with different expressions. Jin's face was full of sadness and fear, while my parents were looking at me with an emotion I didn't expect. Disgust. Complete and utter disgust. I then realize why. I was an omega. That would be the only reason for their reactions. I slightly whimper and take one step towards my mom.

"Stay back you little sh*t!" my mother screams while taking several more steps back. My dad following right behind her. Jin just stays still, looking down at the ground with silent tears running down his face. I watch as my mom goes behind a tree and pull something out: a dart gun. My mother, my own flesh and blood was going to shoot me with that. They were probably going to turn me into the alpha. As soon as she cocks the gun I turn around and book it. At the same time Jin breaks out of his trance.

"No, wait! Please!" But he's too late. The sound of the gun ricochets in the air and a second later pain shoots through my right leg. Before I even hit the ground, my vision blurs and I black out.
