Sylvester woke the next morning was confused. This wasn't his bed. He slowly sat up and looked around. He got out of the bed and slowly walked to the door. He opened it quietly and looked out. He didn't hear anything so he slowly walked out. "Morning Sylvester." Sylvester jumped as he heard a voice Behind him. He turned and let out a breath as he saw it was only Snape. "Where am I?" He asked softly and looked around. "My chambers," Severus told the boy. Sylvester looked around and flinched lightly as he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Now, its time for breakfast!" Severus told him. "I'm not hungry," Sylvester said and tried to move Snape's hand from his shoulder. "Sylvester, we've talked about this," Severus said and led the boy to the kitchen. "You're eating whether you are hungry or not." He added. Sylvester crossed his arms and sat at the table. "Don't pout," Severus said simply and summoned a house elf who immediately started cooking for them. Sylvester just laid his head in his arms on the table.
The boy said something but it came out mumbled since his head was hidden in his arms. "What?" Asked Severus as he sat at the table as well. "Why am I here?" Sylvester asked a little louder, still not lifting his head. "You had fallen asleep on the way home from Diagon Alley and I just let you stay in here rather than taking you to your dormitory," Severus explained. Sylvester nodded slightly and kept his head down. "Are you okay?" Severus asked the small boy. Sylvester shrugged. "What's wrong?" Severus asked. Sylvester just shrugged again. Severus let out an inaudible sigh and picked up the daily profit. It wasn't but five minutes before the food was ready and the elf served it.
"Head up, Sylvester," Severus said as he put his daily profit on the table. Sylvester ignored him and kept his head on the table. "Now, Sylvester." Severus said sternly. Sylvester continued to ignore him and stuffed his face further into his arms. "Sylvester Finn, I'm going to tell you again!" Severus said getting mad. "Leave me alone!" Sylvester yelled but it came out sounding normal from behind his arms. Severus let out an angry sigh and stood up.
"Let me go!" Sylvester shouted as he felt himself being lifted by a hand grabbing his biceps and standing him in the corner. "You don't yell at me, you are going to stand here for ten minutes then you are going to sit down and eat!" Severus told the child. Sylvester glared at him with tears in his eyes. Severus turned him around to face the corner. Severus sat back down and looked at the boy in the corner before picking up the daily profit and crossed his right leg over his left.
Sylvester stood in the corner with tears falling from his eyes. Why isn't he hitting me? Sylvester thought as tears fell. I yelled at him he should be hitting me! Starving me! Something! But he's just making me stand here? Why? Sylvester thought.
"Sylvester, come here son." Sylvester heard. He quickly wiped his eye before slowly turning around to face the potions master. Severus put the Daily Profit on the table and uncrossed his legs. "Come here." Severus said. Sylvester slowly walked over to him and lowered his head. Once the boy was in reach Severus stood him in the v-line of his legs. "Look at me." Severus said softly. The boy hesitated before slowly looking up at him.
"What's wrong?" Severus asked. Sylvester felt the tears fill his eyes once more and he looked down again. "You're supposed to hit me! You're supposed to starve me! You're- you're supposed to hurt me!" Sylvester started to sob. Severus sighed and put his hands on his face gently and made the child look at him. "Why would I hit you for yelling?" Severus asked. Sylvester sniffled. "Cause I was bad. You're supposed to hit me when I'm bad!" Sylvester said as tears streamed down his cheeks. Severus sighed.
"Sylvester, what your parents did to you wasn't the right way to punish a child. I would never hit you the way that they did. If I did hit you it would be a spanking and that's it." Severus told him. Sylvester looked at him and sniffled. "Okay?" Severus asked. Sylvester sniffled again and nodded. Severus used his thumbs to wipe the boys tears away and pulled him into a hug. Sylvester just laid his head in Snapes shoulder as the man rubbed his back.
"Alright Syl, You gotta eat now okay?" Severus said. Sylvester shook his head, not wanting to leave his arms. Severus sighed and pulled the boy into his lap. He turned the boy around so he was facing the table and moved the boys plate so it was next to his own. He wrapped his left arm around the boys waist since he sat on his left knee. "Eat for me." Severus said and pat the boys belly before starting to eat his own. Sylvester watched him for a moment before obeying and eating his own food. Severus was glad the boy listened and started to eat.
"Do you wanna do anything today? Go somewhere maybe?" Severus asked as he took the last bite of his food. "No." Sylvester said and stopped eating when about three quarters of his food was gone. Severus sighed inaudibly knowing the boy won't eat anymore than that. "Why not?" Severus asked and stood up, making Sylvester stand up as well, and took his and Sylvester's plates to the sink. "Not even to go swimming or flying?" Severus asked and turned to see the boy sitting back in the seat Severus was just in. Sylvester shook his head no.
"Would you want to go see Lupin or another teacher?" Severus asked but he got a shake of the head in response. "Well." Severus sighed as he thought. "What about we go visit Lucius and Draco?" Severus asked. "No!" Sylvester said. "Why not?" Severus asked. "Draco hates me!" The boy said. Severus sighed. "I'm sure he doesn't." He said and walked back over to the boy. "Well, we aren't staying inside all day." He said and picked the boy up and sat the tiny child on his hip.
"Put me down!" Sylvester growled and twisted to get down. "Well. Would you rather take a nap then go somewhere?" Severus asked and sat the boy on the couch. "No!" Sylvester crossed his arms. Severus sighed and rubbed his forehead. "If you don't choose, I will." Severus said. Sylvester glared at him in response. "Fine." Severus sighed. "Go get dressed." He said. "Why?" Sylvester asked. "We are going to see Lucius and Draco. I have to talk about some work stuff with Lucius anyway." Severus said. "No!" Sylvester yelled at him.
Severus glared at the boy and grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "Ow!" Sylvester yelped as his backside was slapped three times, really hard. "You don't yell at me young man!" Severus warned him. Sylvester looked at him with tears in his eyes. "Now go get dressed, I'm not going to tell you again." Severus told him and let go of his arm. Sylvester instantly bolted to his room, in Snapes chambers. Severus sighed. He knew that would happen sooner or later. Severus grabbed his things and put them in a satchel and put it over his shoulder. He stood by the floo and waited for Sylvester.
The small boy soon walked back into the room, tears very clear on the boys cheeks. Severus sighed and put his satchel down. "Come here Syl." Severus said softly and motioned him over. Sylvester walked over to him and Severus pulled him into a hug. Sylvester hugged back and cried. Severus picked him up and the boy hid his face in the mans neck. "It's okay Sylvester, calm down!" Severus said softly to him. Sylvester wasn't calming down so Severus picked up his satchel and stepping in the floo. He floo'd over to Malfoy Manor and stepped out.
"Uncle Sev!" Draco said happily when he saw Severus step out of the floo. "Hello dragon." Severus said and ruffled his godsons hair. "Is that?" "Sylvester. He's not having a good day." Severus cut him off. "Where's Lucius?" Severus asked. "In his office." Draco replied and sat on the chair he was in. Severus rubbed Sylvester's back as the child cried in his shoulder and went to Lucius's office.
"Severus!" Lucius smiled a he saw him. "What's wrong with young Sylvester?" Lucius asked as he saw the crying child. Severus told Lucius and Tom about Sylvester. "I popped his bottom a few times and now he's very upset but I don't know why and I can't seem to calm him." Severus told his friend. Lucius frowned. "Want me to try and calm him?" He asked. Severus looked at him and sighed before nodding. Sylvester sobbed as he felt himself being moved. "Now, now little one. What has you so upset?" Lucius coo'd to the boy like he used to do when Draco was upset.
Sylvester subconsciously hid his face in the mans neck. Lucius rubbed the boys back and shushed him. "Come now, Sylvester, what's with all the fuss?" Lucius asked to small boy. Sylvester just cried and clung on to him, not really caring about anything anymore. "I know what's wrong." They heard a voice. Severus and Lucius looked over to see Tom, their father, in the doorway. "He was abused, right?" Tom asked and looked at his youngest son. Severus nodded and looked at the small boy in Lucius' arms.
"He's not used to this." Tom said and walked over. "The hugs and love. He doesn't know how to react." Tom said softly and rubbed Sylvester's back. Sylvester accepted the hugs and love. He was right, that's why Sylvester was upset.
