Prom?

"The sunset is beautiful." Ashley sighed as she put her head down on Alex's shoulder.

They both took a deep breath, enjoying the warm air coming off the lake.

"I have a question." Alex said after a moment and turned to her.

"Yea?" She asked, sitting up, his brown eyes piercing hers.

"Would you like to go to prom with me?" He asked, giving her a smile.

"Oh course!" She smiled and hugged him.

"Awesome!" He laughed and hugged back.

"Alli?" Tristan called from his spot on the couch where he had been since they got him from school.

"Yea?" She asked, popping her head in the doorway.

"We are going to prom right?" He asked.

"Yea..." She smiled. "I just though you would ask me a little more... Romantic?"

"Okay." He stood up, held her hands and got down on one knee. "Allison Dawson. Will you go to prom with me?"

She laughed and pulled him up. "Dork."

"Is that a yes?" Tristan asked.

"Yes." She placed a kiss on his lips then left to finish the dishes.

"Hey." Alli greeted as she sped up to catch up with Ashley. "Did Alex finally ask you to prom?"

"Yes!" Ashley sighed. "We were watching the sunset and he asked me. It was magical."

"That's so sweet." Alli agreed as they stopped in line for their first class. "Do you have to go dress shopping?"

"No, but I do need shoes?" Ashley smiled.

"Done." The other laughed.

Durring their laughter, Dustin, a short, blond hair, freckled face, blue eyes boy in their class walked up.

"Hello." He greeted his shoes.

"Hi." Alli said happily.

"Um, Ashley." He mumbled. "Would you like to go to the prom with me..."

She glanced at Alli who looked extremely sorry for him.

"Uh, Dustin, your really sweet, but I have a date sorry-" she started.

"Oh course you do. They all do." He frown and shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked away.

"Aw, poor kid." Alli pouted as they watched him walk him away.

"He's kinda weird though, no?" Ashley shrugged.

"Sorta." Alli agreed. "Well I'm gonna go over there because here comes Alex."

"What-" she was cut off by a set of hands snaking around her waist in a hug.

"Morning beautiful." He said into her ear.

She turned around and smiled. "Morning."

"Aw Alli didn't have to leave." He mumbled into her ear.

"Ah-" she glanced over to where Alli and Tristan were now talking, pushing each other and throwing insults. "I think she would rather be over there."

He laughed. "Okay, just for your dress, I have to approve it first"

"Why?"

"Because I wanna know what I have to compare to so I don't look like a fool."

She smiled and kissed his cheek. "You better head to class."

"Alright I'll see you later." He pulled away and left.

That afternoon, Ashley and Alli headed out for a quick shopping trip. Prom was three weeks away and they figured they better finish shopping early so they could help the guys.

"Do you think we'll be able to find a sea grew tie for Alex?" Alli shook her head as they sipped their drinks in the food court.

"My aunt works at a tie were house. I'm su

"Good." Alli nodded and paused. "Hey look, it's Dustin."

She nodded towards him, stalking away from another girl who was laughing with her friend.

"Man I feel bad for him. Why doesn't he just go with a friend?" Alli asked.

"I don't think he has any." Ashley sighed. "Whatever. Alex is thinking about getting this tattoo on his hand. For his mom, I think it would be really nice."

Alli glanced at her and then back at Dustin. "Yea, that would be really nice."
