(Xavier’s POV)

I can’t stop thinking about that girl from outside the house. I wonder if she’s new or something, I have never seen her at school before, and trust me, I would have noticed something that hot at school.

“Hey X, man, are you listening,” Chris said.

“Yeah, you said something about going to a party some girl’s throwing for a friend tomorrow after the game,” I said to Chris, one of the other guys from football that I hang out with.

Satisfied with my answer, he continued to tell me about the party, “So, yeah, I heard this girl was supposed to be super hot or something and, like, super smart.”

“Which one,” I asked, just to be clear.

“The one the party’s for,” he said, sloppily eating one of the chilly cheese fries he had gotten from Jonny’s earlier, after I called and asked him if he wanted to chill with me.

“Hey don’t spill that shit in my car,” I said, not taking my eyes off the road.

“I’m not calm down X,” he replied.

Letting my mind drift off, I thought about the girl again. I wonder if I could ask Jake about her? Nah, I wouldn’t hear the last of it. Plus she might be going out with him or Jason. God forbid she be one of their weird ex-girlfriends. No she’s too hot to be-

“So, are you going,” Chris asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Where,” I asked.

“The party.”

“Oh, yeah, after the game, right?”

“Right, I’ll see you tomorrow after school,” he said as we pulled up to his house and he got out.

With a last wave I pulled off to go to my older sister house and check on her.

“Hey, baby bro, what’re you doing here,” my sister, Kate, asked.

“Where have you been I haven’t heard from you in weeks, God I was seriously worried,” I said, pushing past her to get into her living room.
