Mattie was sat on Alfred's bed, laying next to his brother. The curtains were closed and all lights were off, the only light coming from the TV playing Disney's Robin Hood. It was only 4PM, but the boys were too tired to do anything. Luckily Alfred's headache had faded away, so both thought it would be a great time to relax and a good way to relax was to watch a much loved film.
"Mattie... Lay down," Alfred whined. Matthew looked to his brother confused. He was fine with his back against the headboard.
"Why?" Matthew asked. Alfred looked up to his brother. He was already laying down, with his head propped up on his pillows.
"Then I can hug you," Alfred responded. "I'm cold and if I hug you I can keep warm," Matthew gave in and laid next to his younger twin. Once Matthew was laid down, Alfred moved to rest his head on his brothers chest, wrapping his arms around the torso of his twin. Matthew smiled down at his brother, wrapping his arms around him too.
At that moment his papa walked in the room with two mugs. Francis looked to his sons who were cuddled up, and felt his heart swell. "Aww look at you two. You are so adorable," Francis cooed. Alfred looked to his papa and rolled his eyes, while Matthew blushed. Francis walked closer to the bed and placed both mugs on the nightstand closest to him. "Your dad told me to bring you two some tea. Please drink it, your dad believes it will help you feel better after your hangover,"
"But papa, I feel fine, and Alfred barley has a headache," Matthew told his papa.
"Yeah that's right. Can't I have a coffee instead, if you are making us have hot drinks," Alfred whined.
"Non. Your dad said coffee will not help your headache or hangover. I know you are feeling better, but he is just wanting to make sure you are fine," Francis smiled, then sat at the end of Alfred's bed. "You know, your dad was really worried about you last night, he wouldn't calm down. He was extremely worried when you both came in drunk. He probably would have told you off, if it weren't for Matthew clinging to him,"
Both boys looked to their papa shocked. They knew their British dad was a worrier, he would worry about anything. But the fact he was worried about them being at a house party so close by really shocked them. Also the fact they managed to avoid being told off thanks to drunk Matthew being so clingy.
Speaking of the worrisome Brit, he walked into the room. "How are you boys feeling?" Arthur asked, concern clear on his face.
"We're fine dad, thank you," Alfred responded.
"And thank you for the tea," Matthew smiled at his dad.
"I'm glad you are both fine, and you're welcome for the tea," Arthur smiled at his sons.
Arthur lurked at the edge of Alfred's bedroom, keeping a watchful eye on his boys. Francis chuckled, noticing his husbands watchful eye.
"Mon amor, why don't we leave the boys to rest. We can go and watch a RomCom with a bottle of wine, how does that sound."
"But, what about-"
"We'll be fine dad. I promise." Mattie smiled.
"Yeah, you and papa relax. We feel fine. We're sorry that we worried you." Alfie said.
"Fine. But shout if you need anything." With that Arthur gave the boys a hug and left the room.
Francis chuckled and then turned to his sons, "Never worry your father again, or he may act much worse."
Francis left to follow his husband, while the twins just smiled. Yeah they were old enough and didn't need their father's protection, but clearly their father's still worried for the young men who were also their children.
"Let's never worry dad again." Mattie stated.
"Agreed."
