' ''Let that be the end of you dastardly fiend!''
applaud roared from the crowd as angel dropped to her knees, fake blood gushing fast and hard out of her lavish costume. thick clumps dripping slowly from the impressive strike of the fake sword. the curtains close she stands up and brushes her velvet suit off to clear the frostbitten stage for the final bows. fluttering a strand of her deep and rich mahogany hair behind her ear causing every other strand to reflect the deepest waves of the sunlight that shone gently. after briskly ridding the stage of fake blood and loosely last minute made props creaking and scuffing the polished floor the usual gleeful embrace of her fellow onstage actor pulled her close and laughed joyously at their successes. for a split second, angel looked around, breathing in the very moment.
this is it.
this is the moment.
this is the reward of three months of tour.
the curtains draw as she steps forward to take a bow, clasping the sweaty palms of her fellow successors gave a thrill that did not fail to pass the pure adrenaline she felt. boiling in her veins, blood rushing through her body.
through the bright lights of the stage, all sound became a distant thought to her. she caught his eyes. grinning he cheered and clapped as she twirled in the arms of her onstage lover. glitter spun and tickled the air, gently placing itself upon her clumped lashes, caked with weeks worth of unwashed mascara that failed to stay waterproof, softly staining her porcelain cheeks.
as the curtains fell she gleefully strides down the centre stage to the backstage,
"Here's to the finale of a long tour!"
david smirked and popped the champagne and poured it into two, three, four, five crystal clear glasses, glistening with the ambition and glee of the successful cast.
"And to our successor Angel! May we wish the best for our rising star!"
angel's face glowed a light hum of rouge as she nervously wiped the caked mascara off her face only to smear it.
"Very funny David."
"I mean it," he muttered in a low hum, whispering into her ear. "Everyone loves a coworker scandal Angel." he winked as she scoffed in disgust, finding her way out of his tangling arms she frowned and pushed him away. david must've mistaken the casting as her lover as her actual taste of interesting, completely disregarding that the play, set in the medieval times, was based around the interest of incest between the main lovers. which definitely did not give any good impressions on david's behalf.
angel rolled her eyes and walked towards the musty mirror, dusting it gently before sitting down upon the crimson red leather chair she gathered all of her script paperwork and assorted through her assortment of photos stuck against her dimly lit mirror. a collection of paper scattered along the floor, along her way to pick it up her stomach dropped. a single letter with green glittery writing, scattered and scrunched she sighed and stained the old paper with a single salty tear. bitter memories of the past and her once hopeful romance case back to her, before the subsequent sting of a painful memory of the words repeated.
take it.
angel swung her head up, taking a long hard drink of her champagne she laughed nervously through what sounded like a lot of pain she approached the others once more.angel giggled heartily as she took another swig at her drink smirking as she snuggled in andy's arms.
"Angel?" andy whispered in her ear, slurred and giggling softly.
"Yes Andy?"
"You know in those books where the main characters just finishes a climatic task, they embrace and kiss?"
angel snorted with laughter as she nodded and andy raised an eyebrow. stroking her hair softly and tucking a strand carefully behind her ear, his anticipating lips met hers. angel awkwardly kissed him softly, softly crinkling her nose as they both burst out in laughter.
"That was disgusting."
andy chuckled as angel snorted again nodding again as she slowed and gulped, her eyes watering.
"Angel?"
she drowned out her sadness into andy's soft jacket, tugging at his drawstrings as he drunkenly, but calmly, rocked her in his arms. kissing her head softly he muttered.
"Sorry.."
angel sniffled and smiled slightly between silenced sobs.
"No it's okay aha. Just, miss the whole notion of men in general"
"I get it. No better feeling than being kissed by a man huh?"
andy nudged her as she smiled and chuckled softly. and like that, it was like her mind went into lockdown.
it's not fair

bang
"sir, we please ask you to be quieter"
the soft spoken voice came from the outside, as he shakily stood and scraped at the metal door."please. please she's calling for me"
the nurse gulped and hesitated, noting down words in a hush. the man banged at the door again as he shrieked again, making the nurse jump.
"i'm going to fucking kill her. the first angel to make it to hell."
