"Anya," I stop in my tracks andwait for him to catch up before asking.
"What do you need Emmett?
He huffs trying to catch his breath,"We have a quest that only you can do, that is of utmost importancesee Alvira as soon as you can for the rest of the details."
I sigh knowing what the quest wouldentail, and walk off heading towards my sleeping quarters. I wouldsee Alvira in the morning, it could wait I just got home from my lastquest, I needed to eat and sleep. I grab a goat on my way to past. Iwould eat in my room so not to be bothered again.
These quest were getting worse andworse, there were going to have me wipe the speices off the planet. Ipondered this as I ate. I hear a crash as little Ambrose and Aphrafly in. "Be careful and quiet," I hiss at them watching the door.
I watch them devour the rest of thegoat. I wish I could do more for them but I can't let anymore peopleknow the existed or they would be killed.
I wait til just before morning to sneakthem out to a cave I found in a previous quest. I then go back to theguild hall to find Alvira, and see where the newest spotting was.
When I finally find her she is sittingwatching the going on's of the hall drinking coffee. "Alvira," Icall out before touching her shoulder, she jumps before realizing itsme.
"Anya, finally. We have been gettingmore and more news of a dragon up around Suikoden Mountains. No oneelse can dispose of it. It is killing people and destroyingvillages," she states.
I nod, " Any other information Ineed," I ask?
"Just that it is blue and silver withthe largest wing span ever seen in the area and that includes the oneyou killed by Okami Lake last year."
I seems that the day had finally comethat I faced my parents killer. I start to leave before realizingthat I hadn't given the answer so I yell behind me "I'll get itdone as soon as possible."
I rush back to my babies " Come, itstime to go" I yell as I reach the cave entrance,"We must get tothe cover of Elwyn forest before people people start to head out."I rush to the forest with them in tow behind me.
Once under the protection of the forestI look for frittering critters that they can catch and eat forbreakfast. As uncomfortable and cramped as the forest was I knew itwas the safest way. As they eat I start to fill my babies on thebasics of this quest.
I few hours in and half way few throughthe forest, I start to hear something or someone trailing us. Imotion for them to continue on as I get as high and hidden in thetrees as I can. I slowly start to hear what they a saying but I canonly hear bits and piece mainly the word dragon. Slowly, I hearenough to know they are arguing about whether they saw baby dragonsahead of them.
I knew I had to act quickly,so as theyrode under me I swung my leg down, knocking both off their horses andunconscious. I stay in the trees to trying to swiftly catch up to mybabies now that the threat is taken care of. I hear the horsestrotting under me towards them and watch as they take them down andstart to eat them.
As they start eating I scout ahead tomake sure the way to the lake and cave is cleared. I go back wherethey are eating and motion for them to follow. When we arrive at thelake I tell them we are going to wait here til night fall, knowingthe rest of our journey would be made during the dark of night.
I watch as they explore everything,waiting to hear footsteps. Finally I hear the footsteps and an owlhoot. So I know it is him approaching. Aphra and Ambrose glide overto him and he smiles at how well they are doing so because just aweek ago they couldn't get off the ground.
I knew we must hurry, now that he hadcaught up. "Were the unconscious men your doing?" he asked. "Yes,as were the horse bones just after that.. They saw Ambrose and Aphra.With the new laws, I have to be super careful." I say not daring toelaborate in Case Emmett what followed, "I couldn't let them catchup."
