Chapter 1: Tyco's Wish

    Several days later after Merlin left...Tyco has been struggling with his daily life as a human living with Tane in New Jersey. Tane's parents are trying to get used to Tyco being Tane's little brother. Tyco also wanted to go to school with Tane due to his curiosity. "Big sister, I want to go to school too. I want to know what it feels like going to school," Tyco whined. "You can't, Tyco. You're an Owlman not fully Human. You have to understand that," Tane forbid him. "But I want to (Owl's cries) I want to go too...," Tyco cried. Because of his stubbornness, Tane finally says,"Alright, fine. You can go with me". Hearing that, Tyco hugs her as his wings flapping happily. "Yes! You're the best, sister. I won't let you down," Tyco said. "You're lucky that I have a long holiday today. The principal is in my school too so...I will take you there tomorrow morning," Tane said. Tyco screeches happily. The next morning...Tane stops before going outside. "Wait, there are some things you have to hide. First, you have to hide your ears feather and wings. Second, how to hide your tails and lastly, those feather growing on your skin," Tane said. "Oh I know how to do that," Tyco said. Tyco tried to fold his ears feather down between his brown hairs, pull his wings back inside and the gaps on his back close on its own. He folds his tail feathers between his legs, covering his lower part. Tane takes out several bandages and puts them on both of his somewhat feathery arms. "Are you sure this will cover the feathers on my arm?" Tyco asked as he can see several feathers under his bandages. "You don't have to wear uniform. Follow me," Tane said and she goes out. Tyco followed her to a school named Caregan School located near their home, a fictional school known for treating each other as equal. There, Tane searches for the principal and she found him in the principal room. "Tane, what are you doing here?" the principal asked. "Principal Rodney, someone wants to study in this school, sir," Tane said. "Really?" Principal Rodney said. "Tyco, you can come out now," Tane said. Tyco comes out from hiding while rubbing his right arm self-consciously. "So, you are the one Tane told me about?" Principal Rodney asked. "Yeah...," Tyco said nervously. "You're lucky we got one registration for one more student. Here you go...," Principal Rodney gives a registration form to him. "Lucky," Tane said. "Children!!" Principal Rodney called. Three children run to him. "You called us, principal?" Nate asked. "Children...From now on, we have a new transfer student," Principal Rodney said. "Really? Is it him?" Marin pointed at Tyco. Tyco hides behind Tane and said,"I'm...Tyco. It's nice to meet you". "Marin, you know that pointing at people isn't polite," Gon said. "Sorry for scaring you. I didn't mean to scare you," Marin said. "Now, now, let's just show the new student our class, shall we?" Principal Rodney asked. "Oh, right," Marin said. "Follow us, we will show you everything," Gon said in Japanese accent. Tyco follows them with Tane at his side. They show Tyco their classroom first. "This is our classroom. You will be in this class with us, remember that when the holiday end," Nate said. "What's a classroom?" Tyco asked. "Classroom is simply a room where we study. Just like school but it's more like a place where we study, Tyco," Tane explained. "He has never been to school before?" Marin asked. "Something smells fishy about you. You're not Tane's brother for sure cause Tane is the only child in her family. What are you?" Gon suspicion rose. "And why do you have bandages wrapped in your arms? And why are there feathers under them?" Marin asked. Everyone looks at Tyco suspiciously, Tane finally sighs. "Guess I have to tell the truth," Tane said. Tane opens the bandages around Tyco's limbs, revealing feathery arms and legs. "What?" The three of them gaped. "He's not really my brother, he's my owl. He is human because we got a reward for helping a wizard. She turned Tyco into a human," Tane explained. Marin burst into laugh. "Is this a joke?" Marin asked. "No, we're not. It's true," Tane said. "Unbelievable...An owl turned into human by a wizard? How?" Nate asked. "We don't know how she did it but Tyco can go back into owl again. Tyco, show them who you really are," Tane said. Tyco covers his face with his arms as he return back into his orginal form. He flies around the room for a while and switch back to human again. "Wow," Nate said. Tyco's ears feather pointing up from his hair, his wings grow out from his back as they shred his clothes. Tyco hides behind Tane with his wings covering him in shame while whimpering in owl's voice. "He's afraid that someone will stay away from him, oh Tyco," Tane said as he rubs Tyco's head. As Marin step forward, Nate stops her as he shook his head. "Don't worry, we won't tell anyone about this," Nate said. "Yeah, you can trust us," Gon said. "Really?" Tyco asked. "Promise," Marin said. Tyco still trembles behind his large wings. "Oh come on...Don't be scared...," Nate said. Tyco opens his wings and steps forward. Gon and the others approach him and examine him. "Sugoi (Awesome in Japanese). You're covered in feathers fully. So this is what an Owlman looks like...I thought Owlman is a story made to scare little children," Gon said. "Even the wings are real... What kind of a wizard that could do this?" Nate said. "We don't know but...We know that Merlin is a great wizard," Tane said. Tyco's cheek slowly turn red as they examine his feathers. "Ah right...We forgot to say sorry for embarassing you," Marin said. "It's fine," Tyco said. "Well whatever he is now. He is our friend and classmate," Marin said again. After a moment of forgiving, the three children continue with the tour class. At afternoon..."Well, the tour is done. Boy, it's afternoon already. It's time for us to go home," Nate said. "You're right, it's time to go home," Tane said. "Good luck on the way home," Marin said, waving her hands goodbye. "You too," Tane said. "Take care, Tyco," Gon said. At home..."Mom, we are back!" Tane said. "Tane, where were you?" Mom asked. "We went to school to get Tyco to study there," Tane said. "What?" Dad yelled. "You did that without telling us first," Mom said. "Do you know what you have done?" Dad asked. "You could have asked us first," Mom said. "I'm sorry for not telling you first..." Tane looked down. "Well, what's done is done. Now we just have to pay double for Tyco's studies," Dad said.
