So, I don't know where I wrote this, but if I am right in my speculation then I created a symbol for the Anex around the same time that Ranako and his friends were in the torture chamber (when they got branded with it). At the time I described it as:
"The tattoo was a symbol of the Anex. A single sword, hilted with sharpened deer antlers with thin vines slithering around the hilt and down the blade's body. The sharp blade split suddenly in the middle and formed two sharper and thinner swords going to either side. Down the silver surface dripped blood. A painting of the horrific invention. The sword was used to kill slowly, by pressing the victim's neck in between the blades, a slow and painful death was ensured."

Honestly, it was a quick sketch... and I did it about 2 years ago at the airport... (at least I think so).
It would be mighty painful to have this kind of beheading
