The next day the sun was a bit brighter, the colors were a bit more colorful, the taste of the air was a bit more tasteful and I was a bit more happy.
I rolled out of bed, and for the first time in a few weeks, I was happy. Actually happy.
I wore a yellow tube top covered in sunflowers because those were my favorite, a jean skirt that was mid thigh and high waisted, and my Birkenstock's because those always brought me joy.
I even had enough spirit inside of me to do my makeup and hair.
I curled my hair, and did only eye makeup.
Around noon, there was a knock on the door and I knew that it was Zach.
I opened the door to see Zach smiling at me.
"You look like yourself again." He smiled.
He then took me by the hand, and pulled me down the stairs and into the lot.
"Zach! Slow down!" I yelled, as he pulled me faster through the hallway of the apartment complex.
When we reached the lot, he opened his car door for me, and motioned for me to get in.
He then hopped into the driver's seat, and drove me to a very familiar place.
The Hollywood sign. The famous sign that everyone had known, and loved deeply.
He let me out of the car.
"Why are we here?" I asked, smiling and brushing my hair behind my ear.
"We're hiking up there, and having a picnic. Right in front of that sign." He stated, grabbing my hand and leading me up there.
I sighed.
Zach looked back at me, and laughed.
"What? Come on! You look like my uncle who loves to hike and carry Chex mix in his pocket with those sandals of yours." Zach joked, and I rolled my eyes.
When we had finally reached the sign, Zach had set down a plaid blanket in front of the "o" in "holly"
He started taking food out of the basket he had set up, and laid it down on the blanket.
  "Take a seat." He demanded.
So I did.
The food that he had packed, consisted of subs, chips, fruits, and little Debbies snack food.
"You, you are beautiful." Zach said, and he fed me a grape.
I smiled after I bit into it.
He then noticed a patch of flowers growing nearby, and ran as fast as he could to get one.
He then ran back to me and sat down next to me.
He brushed my hair back, and planted the purple flower he had picked behind my ear.
  I smiled.
Zach looked me into the eyes and then kissed me.
"Remind me how I got so lucky." Zach said.
"Got lucky how?" I asked, while giggling.
"I got you. Millions of guys would kill for someone as beautiful in both their looks and their heart as you are." Zach said while rubbing his hand on my thigh.
  I blushed, big time.
"You are a ass kisser, Zachary Reed." I laughed, and so did he.
He then helped me up, and we picked up our mess and hiked miles down hill.
I was pretty much exhausted when we had reached the car, so I made him carry me upstairs to my apartment.
  "Zach?" I whispered tiredly.
"Yes?" He replied.
  "I love you."
  "I love you more."
    And then, I was asleep.
