CHAPTER VI
< Finn Ames and the Flier's Flutter >
Stumbling into Stardom Arc

FINN had just survived Dot's dance drills and Mash's endurance torture, and now he was bracing himself for Anna and Lemon's relentless idol choreography boot camp. Calling it a "workout" was an understatement; his body felt like it had been through a blender, and he was pretty sure his muscles were staging a revolt every time he went home.

Every day felt like its own brand of torture. It always started with a peaceful chat with his brother, Rayne, and their rabbits—the only part of the day he genuinely enjoyed before everything took a turn for the worse.

Then, he'd be chased while Mash shoved creampuffs into his mouth. Next, Finn would push himself to the limit, trying to match the song Dot throws at him, often ending up in a condition similar to having asthma attacks. After that, he faced another dance routine, this time, trying to sync with the rest of Himeakira. By the end of it all, he'd stagger home with a sweat-soaked shirt, disheveled hair, and a terrible smell. Even the hungry bunnies turned their noses up at the food Finn had prepared, clearly deterred by his odor.

This was his daily routine for the past week, and he's gotten used to it. It was enjoyable, but it was also very draining. Today was a Saturday, and Mash was very busy due to the weekend rush, thus, his stamina training was paused to a halt. With Dot occupied with a client and Lemon was busy writing a song and working on choreography, Finn found himself with a completely free day.

He first considered spending it lounging in bed all day, doing nothing. "Wait, I have an idea." Maybe he could try out something he'd seen Rayne do once.

Finn dragged himself out of bed and slumped downstairs. In the kitchen, he fished out a massive carrot from the fridge and, with the precision of a sleep-deprived surgeon, sliced it into tiny pieces. He then made his way to the rabbits, flinging the carrot bits into the air like confetti. Finally, he plopped down on the floor, waiting for the rabbits to come nibble at him, his clothes now a buffet of vegetable treats. It was like a bizarre, furry carrot shower, and Finn was the main course.

"Ah." Finn mumbled, "This is nice."

Finn shut his eyes, enjoying the little nibbles of Rayne's nine rabbits.

"Finn-san...?" Trailed off a familiar voice from the door. A familiar set of blue eyes flickered towards the young Ames with concern.

Finn's eyes flew open at the sound of the door slamming. Lance stood in the doorway, his face was an image of confusion. Anna echoed the same expression as she stood next to her big brother.

"Finn..." Lance stared, "What are you doing?"

Finn, still sprawled on the floor with rabbits munching away, scrambled for an excuse. "Oh, hey Lance-kun... Anna-chan...!" He then tried to sound casual, "I'm, uh, testing out a new, cutting-edge relaxation technique. It's called 'Carrot Meditation.' You see, it's all about finding inner peace while becoming a living vegetable buffet."
