She watched as the people of the town walked around the village. She knew each and every one of their names. They all worship her, but they can't exactly see how she truly looks like. All the pictures of her that had been illustrated in books and carved in statues weren't her true appearance.
The goddess with the name of Brise sighed. If she had a human name, what would it be? She thought and thought, then finally she came up with an idea. She'd call herself "Pucca" if only she was human. She only wishes they could see her for who she is.
In spite of having powers that no ordinary human could have, being a goddess was lonely for her. She envied these villagers. She envied her own people. For they were able to interact with each other and have fun. She didn't want to live a life where she was invisible to everyone's eyes forever.
She had the powers to show herself to others, but Master Soo had told her not to. "The human world is dirty and filthy." He'd usually say, telling her that she should be lucky she wasn't born as a human being.
She is the guardian deity of Sooga Village, and everyone in the village worships her. She could only hope this doesn't lead to any religious conflicts. That's a common thing in the current world's society. Others would discriminate others for having a different religion from theirs, and others would go through lengths just to show that they worship this god or that god.
Regardless of Master Soo's words, she loved this village, and she promised to protect it for all eternity. This village was a peaceful village, where no wars or massacres have to take place. A village where no one holds hatred for one another.
She did have friends. She had Treuil, who was closer to her than any of the other goddesses. Everytime she asked for something, she would get it. But there was something that she wanted that could never be given to her. And that was her desire to be human.
But out of all people in Sooga, there was one boy who Pucca or Brise was fascinated with. For his young age, he held such magnificent power that the other villagers wouldn't be able to compare to. But he just doesn't recognize it himself. What was his name again? Oh yeah. It was Garu.
She watched him even though he was still an infant and could barely do anything. She watched him as he grew older and older. It probably came to the point where she knew everything about him already.
Then she looked up. Oh, right. The meeting of the gods was going to take place today. It seemed like she was going to be late to the meeting once again. The bells that only she could hear echoed throughout the sunlit sky gave a signal to start the meeting, and she flew upwards to the heavens.
