Kelly is reading John Grisham's the firm when she is interrupted by Kelly Severide
"still reading Winters?"
"yes I am but what's the matter with reading?" Kelly retorts
"you've already read that book twice," he replies
"it's that good," Kelly responds
The conversation is interrupted by the signal
" truck 81, ambulance 61, squad 3, warehouse fire Westmont drive" the automated signal announces
"duty calls," Kelly remarks as she puts the book down
Seven minutes later the trucks have made it to the warehouse to find it well alight
"truck take the west side, Squad take the east side," Matthew Casey commands
"Matt I think we should lay some ropes," Kelly suggests
two minutes later, Kelly has the ropes laid out and everyone is ready to go. Another minute and everyone one has entered
"CFD call out," Kelly yells to see if anyone is trapped
"up here," a girl calls out from a makeshift balcony
Kelly unhooks herself from the guide rope and she sees the ladder
"I'm coming," Kelly says as she props the ladder against the opening
It takes her a minute to climb up but she has made it to the girl
"Can you move?"
"I can but my friend Jessie can't," the girl replies
"Casey I need rescue rope," Kelly calls out
Casey throws some rope to you and you make a harness around Jessie. Thirty seconds later you have gotten everyone down
"Casey I will take them to the ambulance," Kelly picks Jessie up
A minute later Kelly has taken the girls to the ambulance and Kelly is about to rejoin the crew when she notices a hooded man which makes her suspect arson but she ignores it and goes back to do her job.
An hour later everything has been wrapped up but Kelly is still worried and it is written on her face
" Kelly are you alright?" Casey asks so he can work out why Kelly looks worried
"I think it may be arson," Kelly replies
"But I can't be sure I'll have to talk to Max about it," Kelly picks her phone up from the table. She also sends a text to her brother's boss, Hank Voight
"Well we will find out," Casey remarks which makes Kelly feel better
