You know that feeling of complete emptiness? That feeling you get when you see a cute couple walking and you wish you could have that. I know that feeling. A little too well. I've felt empty all my life. As well as lost, lonely, misguided, misunderstood. But I hide it all with a smile. The funny thing is, this all changed the day I met Moises Castellanos.
The day began with the sound of my alarm clock disturbing my sleep. I fluttered my eyes open and stopped the annoying sound coming from the clock. Another day of school. That means another day of drama, work, and peppy blonde girls who laugh obnoxiously just so people will look at them.
I sat up in my bed swinging my feet onto the floor. My head drooped low and I managed to walk over to my dresser. I showered last night so I could use the thirty minutes I usually use to shower, for sleep. I got dressed in black tights, a greenish colored Cashmere jumper. It was kinda baggy and went just past my butt. Next step in preparing myself for the day, makeup. I sat down at my bureau and rubbed the foundation into my skin. I applied the mascara and did my eyeliner with the winged tips. Like I usually do. I blushed my cheeks a tiny bit, and put on some nude colored lipstick.
Seeing my wavy hair in the mirror made me think how I wanted to style it today. I think I'll just leave it how it is. But I should probably brush it out first. I did just that. I went into my closet and put on my red Toms. On my way out my room, I sprayed myself with perfume and put on my everyday bracelets : an anchor one, and infinity symbol one, and three friendship bracelets along with prayer beads. I grabbed my phone, and backpack and closed my door behind me.
''Goodmorning Lennon,'' my mom greeted.
''Hey mom. What's for breakfast?,'' I asked kissing my mom on the cheek.
''Eggs and toast,'' she informed me.
''I'll just take the toast,'' I grabbed two slices of buttered toast and put them in a napkin. ''See you later mom.''
''Have a good day at school, honey,'' I grabbed my car keys off the hook and walked out to the driveway. I got my license two months ago, and I bought my first car with money that I saved up since I was 7. I'm now 16. I got a used black Escalade. I loved how the car made me feel so big, even though I'm only five feet, three inches. I'm short for my age, I know.
I pulled out the driveway and turned up the radio. The song Beauty and a Beat by Justin Bieber came on. I hummed along and rocked my head from side to side.

''Lennon Isabel Giordana, please report to the principal's office at this time,'' I heard over the loud speaker as I put my backpack into my locker. I grabbed my two main binders, and a pen and pencil out and made my way to the office.
''Goodmorning Lennon,'' Mrs. Miller, the secretary greeted.
''Morning Mrs. Miller,'' I replied. I walked into Mr. Carter's office and saw him sitting in his chair and a boy sitting in another chair. I studied his face. He had an angled shape to his face, crystal blue eyes and brown hair that was kinda shaggy. He looked like a guy you'd see off of tumblr. He looked perfect. He wore a red t-shirt that said ''Stay Gold'' in black bold letters. I love that quote from the Outsiders. He paired the shirt with black jeans and red toms. I looked down at my shoes. We had on matching shoes!
