A stormy day like this had never happened before, the night now loomed over those lands and with the rain that fell undeterred it fell, letting the smell of wet grass permeate the surrounding air.

At the top of the hill of that village in the mountains there was a cottage, probably built several years before, but still well maintained thanks to the continuous attentions of the owners. There was no light in it that could be glimpsed from the metal shutters, except for a suffused light of the attic windows, where a figure was leaning out to admire out of the glass.

"Have you seen the weather outside? It seems that in a short while lightning could strike here at any time!"The young woman's voice on the window looked enthusiastic, but she felt someone approaching her in response.

"Only you can be happy for a bad weather like this, Kokoro..." Finally the other person also answered the young woman, adjusting better the collar of the nightgown she was wearing, looking out of the corner of her eye at the shapes of the girl by her side covered with a white silk night-gown.

"But we are lucky that we arrived right on time, so we can enjoy this show, don't you think so too Misaki?" The head of the landlady turned to the other, with a bright smile painted on her lips and seeing the face of the respondent slightly frowning, who put her arms folded.

"Maybe you're right, if only it weren't for the fact that we got soaked to the core before we got here." She sighed at the end of the sentence and scratched the back of her neck tired, moving her gaze to the electric fireplace that in that moment was in operation, sensing the young Tsurumaki approaching her and leaning back against the wall behind them.

"But so we could have a bath together, isn't it a good thing?" The innocent expression she gave to Misaki made her heart beat faster, which made her blush slightly and lay her eyes on the golden ones of the other.

"Well, yes, I don't deny it..." She cleared her throat and then started toward the red velvet sofa in front of the fireplace, sitting down and watching the fire so realistically. How long have I known by now what would happen shortly thereafter? Maybe since I agreed to go on vacation with Kokoro: just the two of us. Yet it was not the blonde who made similar decisions. Certainly something had already happened between us. Sometimes I would steal a few kisses during recess or during the return home both at school and after rehearsals with the band, but this? Was I sure to took that important step?

"Misaki?" Kokoro's voice, so close to her ear at that moment, made her jump on the spot and suddenly turn to her face, almost startled by that abrupt return to reality, noticing some confusion in the golden eyes of the girl. "Everything is alright?"

"Eh?! Yes, of course, why do you ask?" She tried to speak with her usual calm, but her voice betrayed her as she came in slightly more acute than usual, the girl standing next to her didn't seem entirely convinced of the answer she had received, so she sat next to the inseparable companion.

"You're nervous, aren't you? You don't have to be." She put her hand over Misaki's, who stared at them a little embarrassed and looked at the other's face timidly and with a certain blush on her cheeks.

"I know... I'm sorry, Kokoro, it's just that ..." She took a breath and with a little courage touched the back of her hand with her thumb, just biting her lower lip "... I didn't think this moment would come so soon, that's all. " She admitted and brought her hand to her lips, slowly kissing her cold knuckles and placing their joined hands on her leg.

Kokoro smiled slightly at the delicate gesture and rested her head on her shoulder, closing her eyes to enjoy the presence and the warmth that hung around them, perhaps thanks to the fireplace, or perhaps for what was gradually coming to life inside them.
