The Selfish Lion.
Millions of years ago, a meteorite shower hit the Earth, killing the entire population of dinosaurs, but within the meteorites itself, came every animal we know today. They all became a community where they respected and helped each other.
They never really chose an oficial leader, but with the strong character and knowledge of the lions, the animals looked up to them. The lions were grateful and tried their best to give every species their fair share. On day, one of the Lion and the Lionese who many looked up to, had a baby son, they called him Danlio. Everyday, his father taught him something about being a good leader until the day he died. When his father was alive, Danlio did everything necessary to keep him content. However, in the inside, he thought of himself as better than the rest. In his father's funeral every species came to pay respect to the leader they looked up to and appreciate. Danlio then thought that the place was too crowded, he thought his father's novelty had cause the jungle to overflow. He started to schemed a plan were he would change this.
First, he called a meeting with the apes. He convinced them that they deserved more space in the trees, that all those birds were too invasive. Then, he talked to the fish and told them that the reptiles should stay in the soil and get their food somewhere else. Then, Danlio talked to the reptiles, then to the birds, afterwards to the mammals and so on. He now had accomplish to turn every species against at least another species, even his own. The jungles population started to drastically drop. Little by little, species will either leave to another place or just cease to exist due to fights or rivalries with another species.
Danlio enjoyed the situation for a couple of months. After a period of time he realised the jungle was now too lonely, almost empty and that he had gone too far. All his lion friends had left him because they were ashamed of his actions. Small things like his favorite food, bananas, had disappeared because the apes didn't take care of them anymore. He realised how much he needed the other and he came to regret his decisions, and there wasn't anything he could do to reverse what he had done. His last days were spent alone in an empty cave, while thinking of how his selfish decisions had turn on him.
