In the world of Super Paper Mario, the four heroes of the Light Prognosticus defeated Super Dimentio, a fusion of a brain washed Luigi, the Chaos Heart and the master of dimensions himself, Dimentio. However Dimentio left behind a shadow of his power in order to continue controlling the Chaos Heart for long enough to ensure the destruction of all worlds. In order to seal away the Chaos Heart for good, the once evil Count Bleck, now named Blumiere and the love of his life Lady Timpani used their love and the power of the eight Pure Hearts. After that Blumiere and Timpani vanished without a trace, the Pure Hearts disappeared, and the Chaos Heart was gone forever, and with them both books of the prophecies disappeared with them.
Or so it was believed.
In an unknown location
In a tunnel of bright lights that seemed infinite in length, there was a big grayish black heart and eight smaller hearts in different colors floating in the tunnel along with two book, one white with a golden star on the front cover and a black with a red and purple diamond and a blue gem in the middle of the front cover.
As they were floating, the bigger heart began to radiate power that started affecting the tunnel, making it shake violently. The other smaller hearts tried to stop the bigger one, but they where too weak at the moment, and without a source of pure love in their presence, they could do nothing to stop the bigger one. After some time, a bright flash of light occurred and all the hearts and the books were transported somewhere.

It was the middle of the night on the Emerald Forest, suddenly there was a bright flash of light that could be seen from kilometers away, a tunnel of light opened up in the night sky and several things emerged from this tunnel.

Nine hearts, all of different colors, and one bigger than the other eight, came out of the tunnel and fell to the ground. The biggest heart was known as the Chaos Heart and the other eight smaller hearts were known as the Pure Hearts. After a few seconds, two books came out of the tunnel and also fell to the grounds next to the Nine Hearts. These books were known as the Light and Dark Prognosticus.
