"Aye! Come here mami!"

I quickly hid inside the hoodie I was wearing. I was walking through my neighborhood at night. Wasn't the smartest idea, but I had no one to walk me home.

"I said come here! Don't make me chase you!" The man yelled.

Oh shit.

I was not going to go over to him. I tried ignoring him and his friends but my attempt had failed. Everyone knows not to walk alone at night in freeridge. Now, I was the perfect prey to all predators.

I continued on speed walking down the street. If I kept going forward I would have to pass the group of disrespectful men. Who knows what they would do. I quickly jogged across the street and continued on my way home.

Whew. That was close.

I had only two more streets until I could safely arrive home. I was broke out of my thoughts when I heard a car rev behind me. I turned around and saw the same group of men from down the street.

Well fuck.

I jogged down the pavement towards Cesar's house. He would know what to do. Plus, I did not want the men to know where I lived.

"Please, hermosa? We just want to have some fun." they snickered. I could hear the smugness in their voices.

Before any of them could jump out, I had made it to Cesar's house. To my surprise, the whole gang was out in the front. Sadly, Cesar was not part of the festivities. Guess I had to ask Oscar to help me. I didn't know him at all, but hopefully he would help his brothers friend out.

I passed the broken down gate to his house. All of The Santos looked up at me. I stood there wide-eyed. Before I could speak, the men had gotten out of their car and catcalled me again.

My eyes met Oscar's. I pleaded to him through the look on my face. I needed his help, I was so scared I thought I would have pissed my pants in front of everyone.

He smirked at me while jumping down from the porch and onto the grass.

"I'm guessing you need my help, (Y/n)?" he said in his  Spanish accent. How the hell did he know my name?

"Y-yes." I nodded.

He looked up behind me and saw the men. He nodded towards them and all of The Santos walked up to them. I turned around, ready to see what these dickheads would get.

"Yo, what do you think your doing on our side of town? And messin' with my mujer hermosa?" He yelled while slipping his arm around my waist.

Hold up. What.

Did he just call me his girl? He definitely called me his girl. And beautiful. I may or may not be getting butterflies in my stomach right now.

The Santos started to gang up on the men. Before I knew it, they had all drove of. I sighed to myself.

Thank God.

Oscars arm slid down from my waist.

"Thank you, Oscar."

"Your not supposed to be walking alone at night. What do you think will happen next time if no one is there to defend you?" He told me harshly.

"It won't happen again. Chill."

"Your my brothers friend. I don't want to be the one who has to comfort his crying ass if something happened to you."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"And you can't be walking around looking like that. Next time, hermosa, let me walk with you when your alone." He looked me up and down. I stared at him wide-eyed.

"Excuse me? I'm literally wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. Plus, there won't be a next time. Thanks for helping me, but I need to go home."

I walked through the gate and down the sidewalk. Picking up my pace, I headed towards my house.

That's when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I nearly jumped up into the nearby tree.

"Oscar, what the hell!" I said turning around.

He just smirked at me. I rolled my eyes and continued home. Oscar was by my side the whole time.

"Alright. This is my house." I pointed. He nodded his head.

What am I supposed to do? Say thank you? Or just go inside and forget this ever happened?

"Uh- Thanks." I said while opening the door. As I was entering into my house, he decided to follow me in as well.

"O-Oscar! What are you doing?"

"Your parents here?" He looked down at me with a grin.

I shook my head to the side.

"No. They are on a vacation." I sighed.

"They just left you?" He asked. His hand lifting up to caress my cheek. I could already feel my face become red.

"Y-yes." I looked down. I did not want him to see my tomato face. Disgusting.

He lifted my head back up. He just stared at me for a few moments. I hastily crossed my arms over my chest. I had to get back some dignity that I had just lost.

"Goodnight, maravilloso."

Butterflies were flying everywhere in my stomach. I smiled to him. This dude just called me gorgeous.

"I'll see you around, aight? Be safe." He winked.

"Okay." I beamed up at him. He walked over to the door and opened it.

"And by the way," he said turning around. "I'm still gonna walk with you. Whenever you need me."

I walked up to Oscar and lightly wrapped my arms around his broad chest. He stiffened at first and then quickly hugged me back.

"Thank you so much, Oscar." I mumbled in his black tank top. I peered up at him and I swear I some him blush.

It soon faded as he pressed a quick kiss to my forehead.

"No problem, (Y/n)." He huskily whispered.

We let go of each other and went our separate ways. I leaned onto the closed door.

"I think I'm in love."
