*ETHAN'S P.O.V*

I feel Grayson nudge my elbow

"What the fuck Grayson?" I say quietly.

"We need to talk to her." Grayson says. I look over at her then back at Grayson.

"She's going to get herself killed, especially if Caleb's friends go after her." He continues.

"She seemed pretty alright taking Caleb down even in english." I say.

"E, didn't you hear the conversation she had with Cassie? Cassie can ruin anyone- wait, what did she do in english?" Grayson starts.

"Uh, haven't you heard? Everyone's been buzzing about it." I say, Gray shakes his head.

"Gray, she punched Caleb, in front of the teacher. Y/n's awesome." I exclaim.

"What? Why would she do that? Ethan it's not good if she bullies someone. Out of all people we should know how it feels." I roll my eyes.

"Grayson, the teacher wants Caleb to tutor her. She said no and the teacher is basically forcing her." I explain.

"Fuck." I hear him say under his breath. We started copying off of the board until the end of the lesson.

As we leave Grayson and I catch up to Y/n, he stops her and says

"We need to talk." For some reason she looked over at me, I nodded and we moved out of the crowd.

"Why are you sticking up for us?" Grayson says.

"Why don't you guys fight back?" Y/n asks us. I look at Grayson and back at her.

"We don't want to hurt anyone Y/n." I explain.

"I'm sticking up for you so that you don't get injured anymore." Y/n says.

"Yeah but why? You do realise you are ruining your reputation." Grayson speaks up.

"Gray she doesn't have a reputation...yet." I say without thinking.

"I don't care if sticking up for you guys is my reputation." Y/n speaks up.

"You don't know what you're getting yourself into Y/n." I say.

"Be careful, especially of Cassie." Grayson says

"Cassie?" Y/n asks.

"The girl you spoke to in science." Grayson explains.

"Oh, that bitch has nothing on me." Y/n says. We start walking to our lockers, Grayson, Y/n and I started to talk about school then Grayson stupidly spoke up.

"Are you ok Y/n?" He asks.

"Yeah Grayson I'm ok...why?" She asks.

"You jumped the fence yesterday and well, I wanted to know if you were ok." Grayson says.

"Really Grayson?" I say to him, great move bro great move.

"Oh um...yeah I'm fine." Y/n says.

"Ok that's good." Grayson says happily.

"Y/n do you mind if I talk to Grayson for a second?" I ask her.

"No..." She says unsteady.

"What the fuck bro?" I say to him.

"What?" He asks confused.

"Grayson, when a girl says she is fine she isn't." I explain.

"She seemed fine." Grayson said.

"Gray, girls can fake things. You have to be able to detect when they are faking it." I say.
