"Honey, can you come down a minute?" There was a pause as Ski's Dad said something to her Mom, "Actually, we need to have a talk with you, so put anything away!" Ski put one air pod in and hid it with a side parting, she did NOT need to hear this puberty talk.
Ski went down the stairs, choosing her song, and Mom told me to hurry up. They were in the front room, it must be serious.
"So," Ski's mom started, "Er, you've been home educated for most of your life, and your dad and I have decided to send you to school."
"What?!" she stood up, enraged, "You didn't even ask me!"
"We have found a really nice school for you, it is a boarding school, and all the reviews are amazing. We are going to see the school tomorrow."
"I hate you." Ski said quietly, that was sure to get her grounded.
"Sweetie, I know you're upset, but we think this would be the best for you. You'll enjoy it , I promise!"
"So you have already decided i'm going! I hate you! I hate you ! I hate you!" She screamed while storming up the stairs, but she didn't slam the door, last time she did, and her Dad had unscrewed the hinges for a week.
That night Ski missed dinner, and cried herself to sleep.
