Just Another Day.

It was like any other day.

Theodore Serendipity was on his way to university. It has been 4 years since he first started Medicine. Yes, it was a lot of load but it was so repetitive that it was starting to get boring. Perhaps it had begun to bore him since a couple of years ago. It wasn't every day you study medicine at Auckland University, but to Theodore Serendipity, everything just felt very repetitive.

Theodore lazily gazed out the bus window he was sitting next to. Outside, people were going on about under the crisp spring sun attending their day to day business. Looking at what these people were wearing, you would have assumed in passing it was summer.

A couple of more days and it will be officially summer, Theodore's favourite season.

It wouldn't be a lie if the reason Theodore liked summer was due to the school holidays; but more importantly, it was what he did during the christmas holidays which made Theodore love summer.

Summer was the season of fun! Adventure! And for Theodore, it was finding new things.

As a young child Theodore was curious of the things around him and it naturally made Theodore like finding new things and make discoveries. It just intrigued him.

While Theodore was thinking about the endless possibilities of new things he could find under the blazing summer sun, the bus reached the university which forced Theodore's train of thoughts to a stop.

Theodore hopped off the bus and made his way slowly up the cold stone staircase to his lecture theatre, where he was going to have his lecture with his best friend Raymond Geomeigh.

Soon Theodore reached the entrance of the building and then found himself facing the big double doors of Lecture Theatre 1. With a swift sigh, Theodore pushed open one of the doors slightly and walked into the lecture theatre and took his usual seat.

Not too close to the front but just far back enough to maintain eye level with the professor in the theatre designed with inspiration from the Greek Drama theatre of Dionysus.

Theodore was quite early as usual, but already a few people were in the theatre preparing for the lecture.

10 minutes later, more people were constantly trickling into the theatre, filling up the seats slowly.

Theodore checked his watch in irritation. Raymond was usually here by now. Was the dude sleeping in because it was a late morning lecture?

Another 10 mintues later, the Lecturer came into the room.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Today we are...."

Theodore texted Raymond.  Raymond was not usually this late. From his face it was not hard to tell that Theodore was quite irritated. Theodore was quite strict when it came to time keeping.

[Oi, where are you?]

Several minutes later, Raymond appeared at the end of the row of chairs of which Theodore was sitting.

After multiple 'sorry',  'excuse me', shuffling noises and annoyed faces, Raymond finally reached a rather exasperated Theodore and sat beside him.

"What took you so long? Did you sleep in?" Theodore whispered to Raymond under his breath with an obvious layer of annoyance on top.

Raymond chuckled lightly.

"Nah, I was here at like 9 am bro."

This surprised Theodore. Raymond wasn't a person who came early when he did not have lectures. The earliest Raymond turned up for a lecture was 5 minutes before hand.
