(Blue's POV)

"Follow me, Blue. We need to get your adoption papers figured out.", said Keith. The door led out to two flights of stairs. I had forgotten that I was pretty low to the ground. Axel went up the left flight of stairs, while me and Keith went up the right. The stairs were wooden with a carpet covering the top of them. I noticed little lamp lights at the top of every ten or so steps. At the top of the stairs to the left there was a door. Keith opened the door, "Ladies first.", he smirked. I laughed, "I'm not just a normal lady...I'm an angel!". He started to snicker, but returned to his more in control face.

In the room there was a desk, assuming that it was the front desk I headed in its' direction. I suddenly noticed how short I was. I was barely able to see over the desk, but Keith towered over it like the empire state building. Huffing and accepting my defeat in shortness, I looked around the room while Keith rang the bell.

In the room, pictures were hung, fake plants, and magazines. It looked like a normal business front desk room. For it being an adoption center, it was sure nice and modern. "Wow...", I muttered as I saw a little glass bowl full of candy.

The bowl was sitting on top of a side table, it was a little wooden one, nice and polished too. I noticed that it was caramel candy, I grabbed it and opened the wrapper. I threw it into my mouth, the flavor exploded all at once like a volcano. It had been so long since I had eaten candy, that I grabbed a handful and shoved some into the pocket of my jeans.

Keith, who had been watching the whole time, chuckled and ranged the bell on the desk a second time. A lady, who had a bun in her hair and glasses, came out of a door. "I am so sorry for the wait, I had to finish some pap-... Oh! You've come to pick up the Corduroy family's girl.". The lady grabbed some papers from her desk drawer and placed them in front of Keith. "Signature here, and here.", the lady said pointing to certain spots.

Keith nodded and grabbed a pen. While he was signing, I walked right next to him. I looked at the paper, then to the lady. I suddenly realised that I had seen her somewhere, I thought as hard as I could. "Um.. Excuse me, but by any chance are you Mrs. Lloyd?", I asked politely, looking up at the woman.

The woman smiled, "Yes. I'm glad you remembered Blue.", Mrs. Lloyd said. Then she added, "But, from where do you remember me from?", she asked with a slight sneaky grin.

I thought for a few moments, I noticed that Keith had stood watching the two of us talk. He pushed the papers that he had just signed toward Mrs. Lloyd. Mrs. Lloyd looked through the papers making sure that he hadn't forgot to sign anything.

It then suddenly flew back to me, I had seen Mrs. Lloyd in a house next to my old one. She was one of my old neighbors, a friend of my mother and father. "I remember, you were one of my friends, and my old neighbor.", I responded happily.

I must've looked like a dog wagging their tail, because Keith starting trying to cover his laughs. I just looked at him, he recovered his composure, and his hands fell back to his sides. Mrs. Lloyd caught my attention as she was writing a note.

When she finished writing, she handed it to me, "Read it later.", was all she said. Mrs. Lloyd put the papers to the side, next to a computer (I had just noticed). She had a few nick-nacks around her desk, most of them being pictures and wolf figurines.

I stared at the wolf figurines with curiosity and joyfulness. Mrs. Lloyd must have noticed, and started to rustle around in her drawer once more. My attention went to her as she dug through it, she pulled out a little bag. Another thing was handed to me, "Look at it once your in your car. And heading to your new home.". She booped my nose as she finished talking, I looked to my nose, wondering if something was on it.
