Video Games [2] - BakuDeku

Katsuki and Izuku started to hang out nearly every other day, on top of eating lunch together with their other friends and occasionally walking back to the dorms together. They also trained and talked with All Might in private when Izuku had to. They did train together normally, but recently it's been quirk training for Izuku.

They started to talk a lot. Izuku always had something to talk about, and on the rare occasion he didn't, Katsuki had stuff on his mind. They would play video games, study together, or even just sit in silence while they did two separate things. Izuku would usually put on some music, and they'd get sidetracked from whatever they were doing. Izuku knew all of Katsuki's favorite songs.

Everyone has bad days. Katsuki usually was the one to wake up in a bad mood and have everything irritate him. Sometimes Izuku could help him feel better, but other times, he couldn't. Long, emotional conversations were had way more than once since they started hanging out again.

Katsuki had started to come to Izuku's room more often, instead of all of their hang outs being in Katsuki's room. Just like tonight. They had gotten used to being able to just walk in each other's dorms. Katsuki didn't knock a lot, but Izuku knocked every single time.

Katsuki opened Izuku's door. "Deku, I'm coming in."

Izuku jumped. He was laying down. He blinked as he lifted himself up and sat cross legged on his bed. He rubbed his eyes.

"Oi. Were you sleeping?" Katsuki shut the door and walked over to him.

"Nono, I just dozed off a little bit. I truly forgot I was in the dorms. I didn't expect anyone to come in." Izuku sighed. He was avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, okay. What's wrong." Katsuki sat beside Izuku. "I can tell something's up."

"Mm... it's...." Izuku didn't even plan on arguing to keep it a secret. He wouldn't even win.

"I have so many strange, mixed up emotions. I've been thinking a whole lot. And I have this weird feeling that's been bugging me. I didn't mean for you to catch me while I'm all weird and-"

Katsuki interrupted Izuku with a growl. "Shut up. Don't apologize for how you're feeling. It's fine that I walked in on you moping."

Izuku let out a breathy chuckle. "Aha.. you say that every time."

"Because you shouldn't be sorry."

Izuku leaned against Katsuki's shoulder.

"Hah?" Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows.

"The reason it's effecting me so much..." Izuku's voice was quiet. "Is because it's about you. This feeling I have. It's for you."

Katsuki stayed quiet. He wasn't sure what to say.

"I've always looked up to you. Even if you were really mean to me when we were younger."

That comment made Katsuki feel uneasy.

"You're so strong and brave. You're powerful... You're gonna be the best hero ever." Izuku leaned closer to Katsuki, gripping his arm.

The room was silent for a few moments.

"...when we first started hanging out for real again. I told you I loved you."

Katsuki froze. He nodded slowly. "And...?"

"I was mainly joking. Back then, I was... it's been almost a year now."

More silence. Katsuki still hadn't even moved.

"Kacchan?"

"...Deku?..."

"I think I've actually fallen in love with you."

Izuku was holding his breath. He moved his head, so he was now looking at the wall. He felt Katsuki breathing. But he wasn't saying anything.

"Kacchan...? ...I'm sorry, I-"

"What did I say about fucking apologizing for your feelings, dumbass?" Suddenly, Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku, pulling him in his lap. He laid his head on Izuku's shoulder, just as Izuku was laying his head on Katsuki's.

"You suck at hiding your feelings."

"I know." Izuku's voice cracked as he teared up. His hands were on Katsuki's back, holding on to his shirt for dear life.

Katsuki started to pet his hair. "Shh. Why are you crying?"

"I. I don't know, I-..." Izuku started to shake. "Do you.... accept my feelings...?"

Katsuki hugged Izuku even tighter. He closed his eyes. "Yeah."

Izuku squeezed his eyes shut, but still felt tears spill out of them anyway. He started to let out giggly sobs, getting louder and louder each time he took a breath. He hugged Katsuki as tight as he could.

"Ah, c'mon Deku. It's okay. It's not like I saved your life or anything. Calm down." Katsuki tried to hide the giggles coming out of his own mouth. He was smiling like an idiot, too.

"I love you, Kacchan!!!" Izuku pulled away and held on to his shoulders. "I love you!" His smile was huge and bright.

"Deku.. You're over reacting." Katsuki covered his grin.

"No, no I'm not! You truly love me back?! You just took a huge weight off of my shoulders, Kacchan. I was so nervous I messed up. I didn't want to ruin what we had, and you-"

Katsuki laughed. "Deku, chill!"

Izuku laughed and launched himself at Katsuki, his arms open wide. "Kacchan, I-!"

Katsuki's eyes widened. His breath hitched. He froze, dead in his tracks.

Izuku wrapped his arms around Katsuki's neck and pressed his lips against his.

Izuku was still smiling wide as he pulled himself away. They sat there, inches apart, staring at each other. Katsuki's face was red as a beet, and Izuku's eyes were sparkling. "-love you." Izuku finished.

Katsuki moved closer to him. They kissed again. Izuku pulled himself in as close as he could. Katsuki held Izuku tight, slowly moving his hand to place on his cheek.

They pulled away, both starting to giggle again. They went on for about two minutes, pecking each other's lips and pulling away just as quick.

Izuku finally pulled Katsuki in for another hug.

"I was having the same problem, yknow. That weird, dumbass feeling in my chest and my stomach." Katsuki sighed. "I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I think I woulda been pissed if you didn't feel it." They both chuckled.

"Well, I do. So you don't have to worry. I love you, too." Izuku closed his eyes.

"I- I didn't say-"

"You didn't have to."

Izuku pulled Katsuki back on the bed, wrapping his legs around him. "You should stay here tonight." He hummed.

"Mhmm. Maybe I will." Katsuki nuzzled his face into Izuku's shoulder, letting himself doze off.
