It's time to bring to your attention,
Tho' I'm sure you've heard it mentioned,
The Fabulous Flying Skills of Davie Fedge.
We hope that some correction
Can be made to the assumption
That, lately, he's been living on the edge.
He is really rather funny,
Tho' he likes his porridge runny,
And his aeroplane, on the whole, is safe and sound.
Tho' his bed is kind of lumpy,
And his take-off, at best, bumpy,
At least he can, um, sometimes, leave the ground.
He is always neat and tidy,
He eats dinner home on Fridays,
And his passengers are treated with respect.
Then he prays to the Almighty,
As he thunders through the nighty,
To keep them calm and safe from getting wrecked.
He is really quite polite,
And we think it would be right
If you could see your way to giving him a medal.
It takes courage and good eyesight
To be an aero-pilite,
And a glass of rum to keep your tummy settled.
