Chapter Six

*Author's Note: This Chapter is going to be a glimpse into the future. If you do not want spoilers then skip this chapter. I am warning you now so you can be prepared. There will be some spoilers!*

I hear my alarm clock going off. I roll over and hit the "snooze" button. When I get out of bed I put on my Friday clothes. I wake up Cedric. "Wake up sweetie! Today is the big day!" I say as I shake him awake. "Just a few more minutes." he grumbles, pushing me away. "Ok. I'll be back in about five minutes." I say leaving our bedroom. As I make breakfast I notice that the front door is open. "Alright! Who is it this time?" I yell behind me. I wait a few seconds and hear nothing. "Whoever it is you should really come out. You'll miss breakfast." I yell again. This time I hear muffled voices behind me. "Altair what are you doing!?" I say as I turn around. I look into the living room and see Quinn and Draco. "What do you guys need this time?" I ask them as I go back to making pancakes. "Nothing. We just thought we'd stop by on the big day! Do you have the surrogate picked out yet?" Quinn says walking over to me and handing me the syrup. "Thanks!" I say as she drizzles some onto the pancakes. "Not yet. We're doing that today." Cedric says walking down the stairs still in his pajamas. "Sweetie get dressed we have to leave in" I pause as I look at my watch. "Fifteen minutes." I finish handing Quinn a plate of pancakes. "Share this time." I tell her as she walks away. "We'll see..." she responds with a sly grin. "Just make more pancakes. We all know she isn't going to share." Draco says in the most monotone voice I've ever heard. "Ok." I say putting more batter in the pan. "Honey! What did you do with the bathroom?" I hear Cedric call. "I didn't do anything to the bathroom. Quinn...I mean Draco, can you watch the pancakes?" I say as I head towards the bathroom. "What in the he-" I begin to say before I am cut off by laughter. "We got you good!" Fred yells as he falls out of the bathroom closet. "You two and your pranks." Cedric says trying not to laugh. "It's ok sweetie. It is pretty funny." I say as I rub his shoulder. He begins laughing. "Ok Alison! You can come out now!" I yell stepping out of the bathroom. I see Alison at the top of the stairs. "Very well then." She says slowly walking down the stairs. "Where is our stuff?" I ask. "It's a hunt! Here's your first clue." says Alison handing me a small scroll. I unroll it and see a picture of a bear with a top hat. "Really Alison!" I say as I head towards the living room. "What? It's funny." she says following me. "Where are you two going?" Cedric asks as he eats his breakfast. "Alison hid our stuff here." I say as I hand him the picture. "Allison? What the hell are you thinking??" Cedric yells standing up and heading for his coat. "Sorry." Alison mumbles now feeling guilty. "And to do this on our big day! Today was the day we were supposed to choose our surrogate!" Cedric adds as he heads out the door. "It's fine Alison. He was just really looking forward to today." I say as I follow Cedric out the door. "Bilius wait!" Alison calls after me running out the door. "What?" I say turning around. "We'll go get your stuff. You guys go pick a surrogate." she says before heading back to the house. "Thanks!" I call after her. I sprint after Cedric. "CEDRIC! CEDRIC WAIT!" I scream as I try my best to catch up to him. By the time I would have reached him he's gone. I send Alison a letter telling her not to look. I grab onto the old tire. Suddenly I'm standing in the middle of a forest. "Cedric! Cedric sweetie! Where did you go?" I call into the woods. "She said our stuff was here! Where is it!" Cedric says annoyed as he comes out of the trees. "She also told me that it's a 'hunt.'" I say making sure to put emphasis on the word "hunt." He sighs. "We're never going to get there in time to choose our surrogate." Cedric says his shoulders shaking. "Baby! No. We can make it. We'll get all this done tomorrow." I say as I kneel down next to him. He snuggles into me, his shoulders still shaking. "No. We can't." He says in between sobs. I hold him until he calms down. "That's it. Just breathe. We can do this. What's more important. Our bathroom or our baby?" I say soothingly as we stand up. "Your right." he sniffs. We walk back to the tire. "Found the toothpaste." Cedric says bending over and scooping up a tube of toothpaste. He looks at the next picture. "Hogwarts. She hid stuff at Hogwarts." He says linking our arms together. I grab the tire and we are back in the field. If I squint hard enough I can just barely see our house. "Let's go pick a surrogate." I say guiding Cedric towards the house. When we reach the house we see Alison and Fred holding a banner. "We're sorry!" they say in unison. Holding their banner higher. "It's alright. We decided that our child is more important than our bathroom." I explain as I pull the car keys out of my pocket. "We're going to get going." Cedric says following me to the car. "Pick a good one!" Alison calls after us. "We will!" Cedric replies closing the car door. "Ok. Who are you thinking?" I ask as we pull out of the driveway. "I kind of liked Mandy, but Joann was really sweet." he says looking out the window. "Really? I was leaning towards Sandrine." I reply. "I didn't like Sandrine. She seemed to pushy." replies Cedric. "Huh? I never noticed that before." I say as I remember our experience with Sandrine. "Joann it is then?" I ask pulling into the parking lot. "Yep!" Cedric says stepping out of the car. We walk into the Magical Experience Surrogacy Agency. "Hi! How can I help you today?" asks a thin, curly haired lady. "Bilius Bartok and Cedric Diggory. Here to pick our surrogate." I say walking towards the counter. "Oh! Yes! Right back here." she says getting up and and opening a door to her left. "Thanks!" Cedric says. "I'm Charlotte. I'll be helping you today." she says as she leads us to a small room. "Oh! We don't need any help, but thank you!" I say as I sit down. "Ok then. I'll get everyone in here and you can let them know your choice." Charlotte says as she leaves the room. "So we agree on Joann?" I ask turning to face Cedric. "Yes sir!" he replies also turning. "Right here." Charlotte says as everyone files in. "Ok. Our choice is..." Cedric says scanning the crowd. "Mollie!" I say clearly surprised. "I thought we agreed on Joa-" Cedric begins to say before seeing Mollie sitting in the room too. "What are you doing here?" I ask forgetting about everyone else in the room. "I decided I wanted to be your surrogate." she says scooting towards us. "When?" Cedric asks. "Yesterday." Mollie replies. "Wow! I really hope Cedric will let us pick Mollie." I think. "Well then. Mollie...you're our surrogate!" Cedric says not even bothering to discuss with me. "YAY!" Mollie and I say equally excited. "Congratulations Mollie!" the other women say as they leave the room. "Thanks guys!" she says waving goodbye. "Great! Now we can always know how the baby is doing and the baby is being carried by someone we know and trust." I say as I put my arms around Cedric. "I'm so glad I get to do this!" says Mollie starting to cry. "Me too!" I say also starting to cry. "Stop it! You guys are going to make me cry." Cedric says trying not to cry. "We can't help it." Mollie and I say in unison. Cedric begins to cry too. "Aawww!" The women who didn't get picked say. We all turn to look and them before I motion for them to join us. "I'd like to thank all of you for offering to carry our baby." I say in between sobs as the join the hug and start crying. We all sit there like this for about 10 minutes before Charlotte comes into the room. "Alright everyone." she says clearing her throat. "Let's go home. Except I need Cedric, Bilius, and the surrogate. "That's me." Mollie says holding up her hand. "Ok! Right this way." she says leading us to another small room. "You guys can just sit in here and get to know each other. Alright?" Charlotte says. "Actually! We already know Mollie pretty well." Cedric says before Charlotte can leave. "Oh! That's good. Well then I'll let you guys know how this works." she says coming back into room and closing the door behind her. "Because you two are both males we are going to use one of Mollie's eggs. We will need to collect a sperm sample from one of you to fertilize the egg. Once the egg has been fertilized we will plant in your uterus." she explains saying the last part to Mollie. "Then you will carry the baby until birth. Once the baby is born you will give him or her to these two lovely men." she says gesturing to Cedric and I. "Ok. Sounds easy enough." Cedric and I say. "Except the part where I give birth." Mollie says jokingly. "But you can do it!" I say way to enthusiastically. We all laugh as we get up. "Thank you Charlotte." we all say as we leave the room. "No, thank you for choosing us to help." she says smiling. We leave and Cedric and I head to our car. "Who's going to give the sperm?" I ask Cedric. "You of course! I want our baby to have your lovely eyes." he replies opened great the car door for me. "Aaawwwww! Thanks!" I say as I climb into the car. "Bye Mollie!" Cedric yells before getting into the car.
