It was a dark rainy night. Two couples are driving their way home from the wonderful date they had. It is their 3rd anniversary and she just told him she was pregnant. It is the night both of them would never forget. How would they, that was their last night.
As the traffic light turned green, he drive his way at maximum speed of 40, not knowing that a group of teenagers, drunk from the party, speeds up to 70 hoping the cross the other side of the intersection before the lights turned red. And so they hit each other. The couples's car was squished between a wall and the teenager's car. The heavy metal that makes the car pressed his limbs and blood. The broken mirror exploded and destroyed her beautiful face. The metal from the wall both pierced their heart together.
And they stopped beating.
Sirens echoed the silent road but no ambulance can save them. Nurses rushed trying to save their lives but it's too late, they're souls have drifted away from their body. They peacefully watched the nurses cover their bodies with a white cloth. "Dead on arrival," the doctor declared and the second he said that they flew their way up to the other world.
They met each other at the pearly gates, the entrance to heaven where they belong. Before they could enter they have to confess the lies they told each other in their past life.
St. Peter hands him a stack of books filled with the big and small lies he told her. She was shock. She never thought he lied that much to her. He is her everything. She changed her life for him. She chose him than a better life. She gave her everything.
"I love you," "You are my only one," "You are perfect", "You are my first love," "Of course I know it is your birthday, how could I forget," "I made some cookies," "I was with my friend last night," "I don't know her," "I had overtime at work," "I did not sleep with her," and all the other lies filled the book and the longer they go the worse his lies gets.
But there is one phrase she never heard that he once said. The book finished and he was also shock not to see that phrase. She understands why but he is still confused. As his mind tries to figure out why the phrase isn't there, St. Peter handed her a small piece of paper where 4 words are written. He then started to cry realizing that she never lied to him. That she always loved him. Completely forgetting the missing phrase, his mind tried to guess what's written on the paper. What is her only lie?
'I am pregnant,' he thought. Maybe because he wanted him to stay so she told him she is pregnant. But she didn't said a thing. She didn't look down on the paper anymore. She knows what's written in it. That one lie she made that changed her whole life, how would she forget. But her husband was curious. Who won't be? So he asked her what's her only lie.
Tears roll down on her face and said...
"I am a human."
The only lie that an angel in love ever made.
He then started to cry. Now he knows why, why the phrase wasn't there. The lie he made but never thought it was real...
"Honey, you're my angel."
Because it is true, she was her guardian angel before she fell for him.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
This is my favorite writing prompt because when I comment this on Pinterest last time it got a lot of likes. Well not like 100 + just about 40+. I just never imagined people would like it. The idea started as a misunderstanding though. I thought St. Peter gave them the list of lies they said in their whole life.
Anyways, no offense to other religion this is just a writing prompt.
