-Ty's POV-

I physically felt my heart shatter, and my eyes widen to the size of my head. I slowly leaned back, my hands finding each other and squeezing intensely so I could pretend the outside pain wasn't there.

"Adam..." I whispered, reminded of the familiarity of getting hurt so badly.

I heard the bed rustling, and it seemed like he was moving quickly, because in a moments notice, his soft, velvet-like skin was pressed to mine, cupping my head with his fingers.

"Hey," he whispered slowly, reaching up and wiping away a few of my leaking tears. "I'm sorry...I really am. I can't remember anything...it's just a big blur..."

I squeezed my eyes together once more, not being able to look him straight in the eyes. No, that only amounted to being painfully reminded of the stabbing pain in my chest.

"I...It's okay." I forced out through clenched teeth, even though it truly was NOT okay. It wasn't Adams fault that he couldn't remember anything, so why should he have to deal with the looming guilt?

He must've hit his head or something, I thought. Seto and Brice did say they found him in a patch of trees. That must've been how he survived. He must've hit a tree, then fallen from it. It broke his fall.

He's still ALIVE, and that's almost impossible. I need to revel in that, and slowly focus on the fact of his missing memory.

And no matter what, whether he remembered me or not, I need his arms around me.

I basically flung myself at him, wrapping my arms around his neck and burying my nose into his soft neck. He let out a shocked gasp, rocking back in the bed for a few moments, before slowly hugging me back, just like moments before.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered softly, moving my head so his shoulder was hiding my eyes. "I'm sorry. I know this is weird. I need it. I need it so badly."

I could nearly feel him grinning ; his own, sarcastic grin thats just so perfectly HIM.

"It's okay..." He whispered in response, tightening his hold around me. "Let it out. I don't need an explanation now."

So I did.

---

It took a few - long - minutes to calm down, but once I did, I was still reluctant to pull away. I didn't want to pressure Adam into sleeping in my bed with me, like we always do, considering he didn't even remember me at the moment.

I didn't know when I would be able to feel him again.

"You...you got sucked up." I whispered slowly, not angle to get the words out of my mouth as memories flew by me at lightning's speed.

"What?" Confusion laced the mans voice.

"We - you and I - we're married. We run this organization together. We go out and we watch and study tornadoes to see how intense they'll be, learn more about the storms, and so on."

I had to take a deep breath before I was able to say anything else.

"You...You always cut it too close...you always tried to be the rebel...and you didn't get so lucky this time..."

I pulled back slowly, only to see his eyes wide and unbelieving. He just stared at me for a few moments, before slowly shaking his head.

"I...I...I can't believe it." He finally whispered, obviously the only thing he could think to say.

"I tried..." I whispered slowly, casting my head down once more as I felt tears welling up in my eyes from the memories. "I really did. You just wouldn't listen."

"...I can't believe I'm alive..." He gasped slowly. "How did...how...?"

"...Here..." I mumbled slowly, standing to my feet, my legs shaking and nearly buckling underneath me. The grief of him forgetting me not only affected my mental stability, but my physical as well.

Thankfully, he saw my struggling, and shot out, placing his arm on my back and making sure I wouldn't fall.

"Are you okay?' He asked worriedly, putting his hand up and slowly brushing some of the hair out of my eyes. I nodded quickly, jumping out of his grasp and feeling my face heat up intensely.

"Y-Yeah," I nodded quickly. "Sorry....follow me."

I began walking, my legs becoming stronger with each step, as I hoped that Adam would continue to follow behind me.

"Where are you taking me...?" He asked after a few moments, his voice confused and questioning. I glanced over my shoulder to see him looking down, expecting his scarred arm, before darting his eyes up to meet mine.

I grinned.

"I'm taking you on a tour!"
