The girl burst out the front door of the large manor estate and ran with tears streaming down her face. She'd finally done it. She'd killed a man. She'd like to be able to say it was purely accidental, but she knew the truth. She'd wanted to do it for years. Tonight, however, was her breaking point, and she couldn't find it within herself to feel guilt for her actions. So, she ran. She had to get away from the horrors of her captors. It was only a matter of time before He arrived home and found his son dead. She had to disappear tonight, make a new identity for herself. She couldn't stop the inevitable unfortunately, so she knew he'd come after her. He'd come after her, and find her. He always did. Only this time, she feared she'd never see the light of day again.

The girl ran and ran until she finally found a little alley that would hide her until the break of night. She crawled behind a dumpster reeking of the smell of rotting garbage, but that didn't phase her in the least. She probably smelled just as bad as the garbage, if not worse. One of the down sides to being a slave.

She propped her head up against the slimy brick wall and forced herself to shut her eyes. It would all be better in the morning, she promised herself. It had to be.

The girl awoke to the sounds of water, and felt something comfortingly soft beneath her slender body. The glare of the sun forced her to slam her eyes shut the second she opened them. She was confused, disoriented, and a little fearful. Had He found her already? Was this torture he had planned for her? Was she dead? Was this Heaven.......or Hell?

The girl slowly opened her eyes and scrambled to her feet in surprise. She was standing in sand in front of an ocean. She knew what that was because she's seen one before with her parents, but it wasn't nearly as crystal blue and beautiful as this one. She slowly turned around and jumped back in surprise. A lush forest sat invitingly in front of her. A gentle smile lifted up her face at the sight. He hadn't found her. She was finally free. What the girl didn't know, however, was that she wasn't alone on this island. And she was in more trouble than she could actually deem possible.

Author's note,

Hey guys! So, I've been absolutely obsessed with OUAT's Peter Pan character and decided to make a little spin off. What i'm trying to acomplish with this fanfiction is to really just dig at the emotions that Pan and the main character Ginger have buried deep down within themselves. This IS a love story, and I really hope you'll fall in love with the characters like I have. Without further adieu, let's get on with the story!

Enjoy,

Sarah Witty (:
