'I will never forget how wild and free I felt that night'
In summer 2015. The nights were still young, the days felt peaceful and the air smelled like salt. But that summer was different. That's when I met him, that's when he crashed into my life like an unnoticed tidal wave.
"Hey Savanna are you ready to go?!" My best friend Lauren yelled at me from the bottom of the staircase as I struggled with my luggage. "Yeah be right there!" I yelled back grunting, I'm just so tempted to throw this heavy thing down the stairs. "You move like a grandma we're going to be late if you dont hurry the hell up!" My best friend yelled giggling at me helping me with my luggage.
I rolled my eyes and snorted helping her pick my things up, taking them downstairs and putting them in the car we rented. "Are you sure about this Lauren?" I asked hesitantly, she gave me a look. "Stop worrying so much Sav itll be fun." She said gently rubbing my arm.
"Now come on!" She yelled excitedly. Putting our things in the car, slamming the doors. I sighed tiredly and hopped in getting ready for a long car ride ahead of us. "I'm so excited!" Lauren yelled. I just sighed and closed my eyes falling asleep.
