A lonely prince, tired of living in his castle and looking pretty, desires to explore The Ancient Forest for adventure and freedom. The legends say that only magical creatures have the power to even stand in it. Only expecting strong beasts, he does...
King Hardy's voice booms the throne room and makes Gwilym flinch. He gathered all the knights and servants into the room, his anger making them all shrink. Gwilym and the rest of the knights tried their best to look strong and tall but they all became slouching, bowed head civilians.
"Do you all know what you've done? My son is gone! The heir to the throne is gone!"
His clenched fists slammed the arm of the chair in anger, slouching and rubbing his forehead.
"Get out of my sight, you're all useless."
Gwilym bows and swallows a lump in his throat, trying to force down tears.
Ben... this is all my fault... I had a job to do and I failed, I'm so sorry.
King Hardy stormed into his room and slammed the door behind him, stomping over to his desk and throwing everything off of it.
"God damnit!" He yelled out in anger.
Out the corner of his eye something sparkled. Looking down he found the diamond necklace that had fallen out of a small oak box. His eyes softened and sorrow filled them. Grabbing the necklace, he squeezed it softly and put it to his chest, a single tear falling down his cheek.
"Alanna... I'm so sorry." He whispered to it.
He set it down gently and walked over towards the window. He glared out the window towards the forest, he remembered what his queen had said. He glanced down at his kingdom and watched the children play, the families. He had to protect them as king.
An idea slowly creeped into his mind and he set to work on writing it down.

Ben chomped on the juicy apple, letting the juice drip down his chin. He was starving. He didn't get to eat dinner and he was so used to a big breakfast. The sun warmed up his face and scared away the cold that stayed from last night.
The forest was a beautiful green with dew kissing the leaves and grass. Small bugs buzzed around wildflowers and Benjamin, with rodents disturbing the grass. The sun shone beautifully through the leaves, making the greenery look fluorescent. From far away you can hear a stream singing her flowing tune.
A twig snapped and launched Benjamin out of his daydream, spinning around and holding out his sword clumsily. His apple still rests in his mouth and his hair is wild and unruly since he didn't fix it when he woke up and his eyes were popping out, obviously not ready for what was to come.
A snort erupted from the bushes and hooves scampering away. Just a pig Benjamin, nothing to be scared of. He sighed and put his sword back in it's holder, biting fully into the apple and chewing, glancing at the bush and walking towards a spot of sun.
He remembered what his mother always told him when he was little. She would tell him of The Ancient Forest and how to find it, she said only special people like him could get in but Benjamin knew every mother told their child that. She said to close his eyes and connect with the spirits, to connect with the light and listen to her, to feel her. She'd show you the way.
Closing his eyes, he listened and felt everything around him as he stood still, listening for the light. A soft melody filled his ears as he saw the dark of his eyelids turn a yellow-white. A warmth filled his side and he swiftly took a bite of his apple, grinning. The feeling staying as he opened his eyes.
He heard hooves slowly walking over in a bush but thought nothing of it, walking towards the warmth.
Even as he walks for about 30 minutes, the bloody pig still follows, its hooves so quiet you'd have to concentrate to hear them. Whipping around to try to catch the pig in the act, he still sees nothing but leaves. He grumbles and takes a bite of his apple, guessing it's probably just his mind playing tricks on him, maybe he's just paranoid.
As soon as he started stepping off, he hears shifting and a rock hits his shoulder. Taking a minute to stare at the rock and wonder, what the bloody hell is going on? He picked it up and tossed it back at the bush. Nothing. He shakes his head and starts walking again, a rock hitting the top of his head this time.
"Alright whoever threw that rock, this isn't funny,"
A rock hits his leg and he stomps over to the bush in annoyance, there's scampering and before he knew it a rock hits his hand. Running over to the area it came from, he kicked the bush. Nothing. He stared quizzically at the bush and his surroundings, a rock hits his thigh and he turns towards a semi see through bush, seeing hazel eyes staring at him in entertainment, a hand lifting up with a rock.
"Oi! Who do you think you are mate?" Ben yells out, expanding his arms.
The face turns a bright red, and the hand stalls and lowers. Their eyes widening to the size of gold tokens.
"M-mate?" A small voice whispers.
Now curious, Benjamin starts walking over to the bush, the person gets startled and throws the rock aimlessly, hitting his cheekbone. Stumbling back and cursing, he cradled the wound.
"Ah shit! I'm sorry I'm sorry!"
He hears scampering and the person's presence was gone. Growling, he wiped away the blood and continued walking.

Yuh, just for imagining it, BeNjAmIn is 18 and you have to remember he wasn't raised very well and he was alone with no social cues so he may act younger than he is. Imagine he looks like this:
