Baby?

I sat up, waking Kurama and Shukaku in the process. "Kit? What are you doing?" "Brat go back to sleep" I shh'd them and stud up. It cried again makimg the two also get up. "What's that?" Shukaku questioned. "Sounds like a baby to me, alot like you were when you were a baby" Kurama groaned. I rolled my eyes at the two and walked deeper in the cave, the crying got loader.

My eyes adjusted and I could see a bear about to kill a baby wrapped in a what looked like white, but blood stained baby blanket. I ran over to the baby, grabbed it and ran back to the others as the bear's claw came down on nothing. Not seeing the baby, it went back to sleep. I sighed in relief as I looked at the child. Who'd leave a child in a bear's cave?

The baby was staring up at me, it had big soft purple eyes and light brown hair. Kinda like Neji had. I looked for it's gender, it was female. She had her tears frozen at the edges of her eyes.

She opened her mouth, execpting a cry, both Shukaku and Kurama plugged their ears, but inside she whispered something. "Papa?" I frowned. I didn't want her thinking I was her father, but I also couldn't leave her.

The two unugged their ears when they didn't hear a whale of crying. "Kit, are you going to keep it?" Kurama askes. I looked at him. "Yeah, I don't want her to live like I had to growing up," he gave me a sad smile. "What's the new brat's name then?"

I looked at her. "What about...Lily?" "I don't think it matters all that much Fishcake" I glared at Kurama because of the insult hidden in my name. "It's Malestrong! Not Fishcake!" "But Fishcake sounds better, not to mention it's delious" Shukaku added. Their picking on me!!! I mentally whinned. Those assholes!

Lily giggle. Great...now she thinks my name's funny too. I sigh, I couldn't really be mad at her. She is after all just a baby...

--a week later--

Holding Lily in my arms, I sighed as I started to walk across me, Bridge Naruto. The bridge Tazuna named after me when team 7 saved him and his family from Zabuza, Haku and Gato. I'm glad the Wave village was no longer in poverty.

As i entered the village, I found myself smiling as lots of healthy looking kids ran around playing 'Ninja' in honor of the Ninja that saved the village. I walked the path I had remembered that lead to Tazuna's house to see it had a few more rooms now.

Walking up to the door I knocked. Tasumi opened the door. "Oh, hello, May I help you?" "I would love your help Tasumi-san" she looked up at me skeptically. "What? Can't remember the Wave's knuckle headed Hero?" Her eyes widen. "Naruto?" "The one and only," she squealed and hugged me then noticed the baby.

"Oh she's adorable! Is she your's?" I shook my head. "I found her in a bear cave," she nodded and welcomed me in. Tazuna and Inari came out into what looked like was a living room. "Whose this Mom?" Inari asked looking at me Skeptically.

"Your hero," she winked he looked at me. "If your him...what happened when your teammates left you here?" I smirked. "I slepted in, Tazuna was at the bridge and you and your mother were attacked by two thugs. Once they had taken Tasumi out of the house, me and my clone knocked the men out before heading to the bridge" he smiled.

"NARUTO!!" He hugged my waist. He was getting tall. "I heard you died," Tazuna said making them all look at me. "I did," they all stared wide eye. "I killed the Goddess at a price, Immortality," their eyes widen again. "Your Immortal?!?" Inari yelled. "Yes, I may not get wounds and bleed but I'll still feel the effects, everyone thinks I'm dead and I plan to leave it that way. I'll forever be 17, I don't want to watch them grow old and die while I live on. I just want a quite life where I can now raise Lily"

"So that's why you look different, wait, didn't those tailed beast thingys stay with you? Where are they?" Inari asked. "Sealed within me but have free rain the size of an adult wolf" they gave me a funny look so I made Kurama appear. He took Lily from me though.

She giggled as his tails tickled her. "I see your house got bigger," "Yeah, I as was able to install three extra rooms! Your moving aren't you?" "If that's alright?" "Of course it is Naruto-san"

"Thank you, hey Inari, mind showing me my new room?" He nodded and grabbed my hand. He lead me to the room next to his. "You can have this one! We should go shopping for a crib and some baby stuff!" I ruffled his hair. "And many I can teach you a thing or two about fighting so you can help protect your family," he looked up. "You'd do that?" I nodded. "What's a nii-san for if not that?" His eyes widen. "Nii-san?" I smirked. He smiled. "Alright, Naruto-nii"

I walked back down stairs. Tazuna was playing cards with Tasumi. "Hey Tasumi-san? Mind helping me pick out some baby stuff for Lily? I'm kinda new to all this," She gave me a warm smile and nodded. Inari took her turn as he took up Tasumi's cards as she grabbed her shoes. I summoned Shukaku, Isobu, and Chōmei. "Watch the house and protect them alright?"

"Whatever brat"
"Sure Naru-chan!"
"Be safe!"

I looked at Kurama. He was still playing with Lily. I think he might be attached now. I roll my eyes at them as I walked out with Tasumi. "So, were those the tailed beast?" I nodded. She smile. "It's good to see they are happy after being inprisoned for so long." I nodded in agreement.

"So, what do you plan to do now with your life? You have Immortality, there must be something your going to do, your life might get boring without a goal" I didn't really know how to answer that.

"Currently, I'm going to raise Lily. I'm going to be a father I've always wished for when I was growing up to her. And I want to be able to teach Inari a few things to help protevt himself and his family for when he is older...but as a life goal, I no longer have one. It used to be Hokage, but...the world think's I'm dead and I doubt most people would want to listen to someone who looks 17 year after year" she gave me a sad smile.

"I suppose that's true. And I don't ming you teaching Inari a few things, just not killing," I shook my head. "I meant as in healing jutsu and normal hand to hand combat," she sighed in relief as we entered a baby shop.

"Do you what Lily likes?" "She seems to like Kurama, a fox so..." I grabbed a toy fox. "Maybe she'll like this?" Tasumi shrugged. "It's worth a shot," following Tasumi lead I started to look over the baby stuff. Tasumi explained a few things about babies along the way.

Matatabi, Son Gokū, and Kokuō helped carry the stuff back. I had entered a normal shop and gathered a few clothes Gyūki carried for me. Back at the house, I found everyone was watching as Inari tried to get her to walk or crawel at least to him, but she always went to Kurama. Sometimes Shukaku. Inari pouted a bit and she gurgled some.

Matatabi, Son Gokū, Kokuō, and Gyūki left to place the items in my room as Isobu took the baby food to the kitchen. Shukaku, Kurama, and Chōmei all stayed with Tazuna and Inari as Tasumi told Inari and Tazuna to wash up. I went over and scooped up Lily, and tossed her barely out of my reach and caught her again genetally. She was smiling and laughing as I did that.

This was gonna be a good home for us.
