6:30 am. The time I wake up for hell. Or if you aren't normal. School. I slowly roll out of bed, hoping not to make too much noise for my parents and brother. But they're all probably already awake and downstairs getting breakfast. I slip into my black uniform and curl my hair before walking downstairs.

When I walked past my brother's room, he was already playing on his games. I walk downstairs and I can just hear my dad talking to my mum. I think my dad is about to leave, so I walk into the living room and say goodbye to him. Our living room is sort of like your normal living room, it's just a basic grey living room. I see a slight smile on his face after he kisses my forehead. He walks out the door after saying goodbye to my mum. (A/N I'm British so I say, mum) I show my mum a small smile, still yawning. "Good morning Mum." She nods to me and gets back to whatever she was doing on her work tablet. I walk into the kitchen and grab a breakfast bar and start eating it, also going through my social media.

I quickly finish and check the time. 7:56 am. I jog back up the stairs to get my brother off his games and to get my bag. I notice how slowly he walks down the stairs and I roll my eyes, "Hurry up. We'll be late." I say before slightly moving him out the way to walk past him as he mumbles "We have fifteen minutes calm down." I scoff at him and slightly pick up my pace and walk out the door.

-At school-

I sigh and pull my headphones out, knowing the teacher who stands at the gate will tell me to take them out. I look at the ground and walk into the building alone. Suddenly, a group of people run up behind me, making me turn and I see it's my friends. These are my friends. The average sized man in the middle with mint colored hair is Jay Maynard, he is my guy best friend. We have been friends for over six years or something, my best friend Faith has been crushing on him for weeks. Next to him is Daniel Dixon, he has hazelnut hair, who is slightly taller than Jay but also the same size as Cole. Daniel is also the youngest of the friendship group. Anyway, on the end, we have Noah Stone. His pastel pink hair and he is just shorter than Daniel. On the other side of Jay, there is Logan Warren. He has blonde hair and tanned. He is the tallest of the group. Next to him is Cole Kennedy. Cole has fluffy grey hair. Elijah jumps behind Jay, attempting to scare him, but he is the shortest. Elijah Foster has dark red hair and is also one of the strongest, despite his height. Now, onto my crush. Mason O'Brien. He is the oldest. I don't know what's going on in his head. His purple hair flopped around as he shook his head to a question he was being asked. But he's a nice guy. They all are. And finally, the girl on the end, Erin Anderson. She's been my best friend since we were in diapers, she makes me laugh all the time. But she has a secret. That only we know. She is deeply depressed. Cuts all along her arms. A few on her legs.

"Oh, hey guys" I smile softly at them.

"Heyo Emma," Cole says back to me.

We all say hi and go into the tutor room. I sit next to Erin at the back of the classroom. I soon notice that Erin's blazer sleeve is lifted and you can see some fresh cuts she's done. "Erin. Your arm." She looked up at me when I say her name and she pulls her sleeve down. Erin sighs calmly and gets back to whatever she was saying. I listen to her and nod along, not really paying attention.

After a few minutes, I notice Elijah attempting to scare another person, it was incredibly funny. So funny, I accidentally cut Erin off from speaking again and she turns to Elijah, smiling softly. We both turn back and I face her. Her glance is on her arm. She's trying not to cry. I look at her, not taking my eyes off her, and I pull her sleeve down. "Don't think about it, Erin..." She looks up at me, a few tears falling from her eyes and she pulls me into a silent hug.

Jay looks over and lightly joins in on the hug, he's taller than both and he rests his head on top of Erin's, making her blush. Erin wipes her tears and pulls away, sniffling. "You're gonna be okay Erin," Jay speaks up firmly and rubs her back. I smile softly and as reassuringly as possible. I want her to know I'm here to support her when she needs me in her darkest moments.

I sigh and sit fully back into my seat. I really do hope Erin gets the help she needs and gets better. No-one knows how much I worry and care about this girl.
