chapter 8

After that dream i did not want to even see people. I felt so scared an helpless, what do you do when you think your dad is going to come find you and beat you up. All of the sudden my phone vibrated on the night table. I quickly grabbed it.

Mystery person- 'you look beautiful when you cry, but this is only the beginning'

Me- 'who are you?'

No answer....

I started to get chills, was someone watching me right now. I started to get scared to i quickly put some cloths on and walked downstairs. I started running when i smelled something burning. I practically slipped in my socks when i ran. Only to find Lizzie cooking popcorn in a pan.

"VERONICA"

"AAAAAHHH"

I quickly turned to Lizzie. "WHO IS HE?!". Ever so casually leah said.

"My boyfriend." I got so mad after that, she never told me she had a boyfriend let alone that he knew m-wait a minute. THATS ERIC, THE SAME ERIC THAT ALWAYS TEASED ME IN SCHOOL AND ANNOYED ME SO MUCH! HE OWS ME LUNCH MONEY!

"OH GOD NO."

"What?" I could clearly see the sarcasm in her voice.

"HAHA, you should realy see your face righht now."

"Oh shush you, ill deal with you later." I could see the smirk on Connor's face but i did see fear in his face by the death look i was giving him. Lizzie just walked past me with the biggest smile ion her face after putting her popcorn in a pan down. tats when i gestured connor to follow me and walked upstairs into the hallway."When did this happ-en, why did this happen, wow i really hate this ironic situation."

"I dont know to be honest, i didnt expect to fall inlove with leah, it just happened all at once and i couldnt stop. Shes really a remarkable person and i dont think i can ever live without her."

"Wow, cant argue with that, ok sorry, bye" Right as that happened, the sleeve from my sweatshirt fell and the cuts on my wrist were shown.

"Whats this?" he said motioning to my wrist

"Oh, that? Nothings, got-to-go-bye" I said as fast as i could and ran downstairs, took my converse and phone and ran out of the house. I ran and did not stop until i reached the park.Nice job Victoria, because running away from your problems always works out. i sat on the swing for about like 30 minutes before Lizzie came walking up to me. She sat next to me on the swing and said nothing. I was dying to know what she had to say but i did not want to brake the silence. Finally she spoke.

"Why?" she said in barely a whisper.

"I don't want to talk about it. Just leave it alone, so what if i cut myself, that does not mean anything." I said in a normal calm voice.

" I cannot just leave this alone, this is a huge deal. It hurts me knowing this, please don't do this again"

Right as she said that my phone started to buz. When i opened up the text was from an unknown number.

From Unknown- wow you're so pathetic, running away from your problems when the game hasn't even started yet. You just wait, i will not stop until everything you love is gone. When this is all over and your broken i wont even let you kill yourself so you can live everyday with the pain of knowing you failed. Watch what you say and do little girl because one wrong action or word can cost you someones life and it will not be your own.

OK so there is a psycho out there.

"Come on we have to go, Alex ate another pillow thinking it was food."

Huh, my friends are definitely not normal. As we entered back into the house everyone was staring at me with concern in their eyes.

I couldn't stand the looks so i just walked upstairs and wrote more and started to draw. Hours went by and Kristi called me down for dinner but i did not answer. A couple minutes later Hunter came upstairs.

"Hey you going to eat or what?" he said in an annoying tone.

"I'm not hungry" was all i could say as i was reading and scrolling.

"Yes you are, i know you are because you eat a shit ton of food all of the time."

"Im not eating, i have a lot of work to do so just leave me alone please."

"Fine."

He then did something totally bizarre. He grabbed my ankle and dragged me downstairs then put food in front of me. Everyone was at the table eating and talking. I was about to eat when my phone went off. Everyone gave me a death glare to ignore it and start eating but i decided to pick it up.

"Listen to what i said and listen carefully. These friends seem to always try and protect you so here is what you're going to do. You are going to leave your friends and meet me at the park where we will settle this because you're very boring to watch." said the caller.

I was very surprised, i did not think that something like this would happen ever in my entire life. After that i finished my dinner and went right back upstairs to be alone.
