Hello to the people!

I hope you're all doing fine. Staying out of the cold season? I'm not so lucky, I had to stay home one day this week, and I'm still congested. Thankfully, it's nothing serious.

Ok, so with the title, you're probably like "Ok, what the heck is she talking about?" Well, 2 things have to do with the title...

1. The REAL Open Window

So we had to read this novel in English Class called "The Open Window" by someone named Saki. Sounds Japanese, but I think he/she is British. To summarize the story, there's this nerve-stricken rich guy named "Mr. Nuttel". Seriously, I'm not kidding about his name. Anyway, he goes to this woman's house, to cure his nerves. He meets this girl in the guest room that is telling him why this window is open. Apperently this girl's aunt, the therapist had lost her sons and husband while hunting, and leaves the window open to allow them to enter again if they so choose. Then while the guy is getting treated, PEOPLE COME THROUGH THE WINDOW. The guy ran off screaming. At first I thought these were real ghosts, until I read at the bottom that the girl's specialty was making up stories. I looked at Nudge (we're in the same class) and we both started laughing. I mean, COME ON! THis was a total waste of our time, but it was written so well! Thus, we now think this is the best and worst book on the Earth to date. I think our teacher would disagree though; he seems to not like Moby Dick...

2. My Story of The Open Window

Ok, so later on that night at Musical Theater (best thing ever!) I created my own story of an open window...

Somewhere in the basement, there's an open window. In that open window, there will be a frog. This frog will poop out an egg. You wait 32 1/2 days for the egg to hatch. Inside this egg is a fortune cookie. You crack open the egg, and read the fortune. Do you know what the fortune says?

...

...

...

(this is when you whisper in their ear)

...umm, you suck.

And then Nudge bursts out laughing.

THE END.

Peace out, and keep your windows open!

9/25 Now we've read "The House on Mango Street". It was a complete and utter waste of my time.
