Swordplay

So, the first thing to talk about is swordplay which I have a lot to talk about. In so many stories I see: (somebody) swung his sword around and killed a lot of mobs. That is probably not the correct phrase, but it is somewhat like it.

FIRST OF ALL, it is almost impossible to keeping swinging a sword around really fast unless you had a few years of training. I HAVE HELD A REAL SWORD BEFORE. Basically any sword in Minecraft that is better than a wood sword is almost impossible to use for like a few hours. The momentum of the sword will fling itself to the side hard or if you are striking down it would be really hard to get the sword back in place. And you will most likely slice your lungs or cut off your leg which obviously not as cool as it sounds.

The hardest part about using a sword is stopping the blade, not holding it or swinging it. To do quick attacks or just regular swordfighting, you have to stop the blade quickly when it reaches the target and pull back and swing again and repeat that process.

My swordfighting teacher has a real battle ax in office drawer. He had about 10 years of practice so he is very experienced with real weapons. One time one teenager broke into his house looking for something and he ran out screaming and hikding the ax over his head. That axe can literally cut 7-13 average people throught the chest with a single blow.

When people talk about misused swordplay, I actually don't think it's funny even it is really is for other people.

And in Minecraft, you keep swinging down really fast and that is almost impossible. Just wanted to point that out.

Please don't be a hater, at least try to see the logic. I have nothing against Minecraft and I probably never will.

Thank you.
