A tortoiseshell she-cat stalked through her backyard carefully. She stopped and her ears pricked as scratching was heard faintly. Her mouth watered as she crouched down low. She began to paw her way through the grass until a plump mouse came into view. It chewed on a scrap of bread untouched by birds unknowingly. She went to pounce but was caught midair. "Bloo, why weren't you coming when I called you?" Her owner scolded. She looked away and scratched her hand. Her owner dropped her and she landed on her feet. She quickly darted for the top of the fence where her owner couldn't reach her. "Bloo!" Her owner scolded. She layed down on the top of the fence and looked out at the forest. A mouse rummaged around in the fallen leaves. Her ears pricked up and she silently hopped down.Again, she padded over to the mouse. She kept her steps silent until a low growl was heard. The neighbor's dog stand only a few paw-steps away. It ran at her and she shrieked as she darted into the forest without thinking. She barreled into something and they both fell. "Holy, mouse tails!" The thing shouted. Bloo groaned before quickly hopping up.
"Are you alright? I'm sorry, I was being chased by a dog." She looked down at the creature. It rolled over and looked up at her, and she realized the thing was a cat. It suddenly hopped of and hissed at her.
"Why are you on LeafClan territory, you don't smell like you're from a clan!" It hissed.
"Woah, settle down. I mean no harm. And what do you mean, clan?" She asked. The cat immediately flashed her a confused look.
"You've never heard of the four clans?" It asked. She shook her head. "Follow me, I'm taking you back to meet Graystar, my clan leader." It meowed.
"Wait, how do I know it's safe?" She questioned.
"You have no choice, you're on LeafClan territory. Let's go." The cat said sternly.
"At least tell me your name." Bloo narrowed her eyes at the cat.
"My name is Bushtail, now let's go you fur ball!" The cat hissed. Knowing she had no chance of fighting anyway, she obeyed and followed the cat to a small camp where other cats buzzed around. When the noticed Bloo, they stopped and hissed at her.
"Bushtail, what have you brought us?" A large dark gray pelted cat asked. Bushtail bowed his head then picked it up.
"Graystar, I've found this cat along the border near two-legs nest." Bushtail told the cat.
"No kidding, it reeks of two-legs food!" Another cat hissed. She gave a low growl and the cat's fur bristled.
"What's your name?" The dark gray cat asked.
"My name is bloo. What's a two-leg?" She asked.
"A two-leg is what kittypets live with. Their given homes- Kittypets are filthy runts! They'll never know the clan life, and they don't deserve it either!" The same cat hissed as it glared daggers at Bloo. "Says who!" Bloo snapped.
"Dirtclaw, enough. Bloo, come with me. Bushtail, you too." The large gray cat shouted. Bloo and Bushtail followed the large dark gray cat into a small cave where a nest made of leaves and vines lay.
"Graystar, I suggest you rest while we talk about Bloo." Bushtail told the cat.
"What do you mean, talk about me?" Bloo growled.
"Silence while you are on LeafClan territory!" The large dark gray cat growled. Bloo glared at him, but kept her mouth shut as she was instructed.
"She's definitely fierce. She could make a good warrior." Bushtail told his leader.
"True, but she'll need to learn how to keep her mouth shut around authority." Graystar nodded.
"A warrior?" Bloo asked.
"You've never heard of the clans?" Graystar asked. She shook her head.
"She might be uneducated, but she's definitely strong. When I found her she was fleeing from a dog. She ran strait into me and completely nocked both of us over. It was like being hit with a tree, or by a boulder." Bushtail told Graystar. The cat nodded and turned around. Bloo looked up at the cat greatfully. Bushtail gave her a side smile.
"She could start training with LeafClan." Graystar said out loud. Bushtail nodded.
"She'd need a mentor." Bushtail pointed out. Graystar turned back around and padded over to Bushtail, sitting down in front of him.
"Would you like to mentor her Bushtail?" He asked. Bushtail looked over at the broad cat who stood next to him. She was a tortoiseshell with a fluffy tail. She possessed beautiful green eyes and pointy ears. "Do you want to join LeafClan?" Graystar asked.
"I'll need to know what's happening first. There are four clans?" She asked, flicking her tail in annoyance.
"Yes. LeafClan, BirchClan, CloudClan, and WebClan." Graystar nodded.
"We all stand as allies. We have different parts of the forest as our territory. You're quite lucky you entered LeafClan instead of WebClan. Fierce monsters, they are!" Bushtail nodded.
"Interesting." Bloo nodded.
"She'll need a new name, too." Graystar pointed out.
"Why do I have to change my name?" Bloo asked. Graystar let out a pur of amusement.
"It's part of the warrior code. I presume you don't know about that either?" Graystar asked. She shook her head quickly. "I'll allow Bushtail to explain that to you on his own time. Would you mind taking Pollybrush and showing her our borders, Bushtail?" Graystar asked.
"Of course not Graystar. I'll make sure to mention the Rumblepath too." Bushtail nodded.
"Good idea. We hope you'd like to join us, Bloo. You'd be a very skilled warrior, and a large help to LeafClan." The leader nodded to Bloo. She gave a respectful nod back and followed Bushtail put of the small cave. Bushtail approached a cat as Bloo followed behind.
"Hollygreen, have you seen Pollybrush?" Bushtail asked.
"No I haven't. Who's this?" The she-cat asked.
"Oh, this is Bloo. She's deciding if she's going to join LeafClan. Bloo, this is our medicine cat, Hollygreen." Buhstail answered.
"Wait, that mut might join LeafClan? She's a Kittypet, that's absurd!" Dirtclaw hissed as he approached.
"Mut! You fur ball, I ain't no mut!" Bloo hissed as her fur rose in anger.
"Calm down a little, Bloo. Dirtclaw is just being typical. He's a mouse brained idiot." Bushtail whispered to her as he stroked her shoulder with the tip of his tail comfortingly. She looked away from the dirty cat and followed Bushtail as he made his way across the camp. "Oh, Pollybrush!" He called. A short haired black and white she-cat turned her head and began padding over. The cat eventually had herself planted in front of Bloo.
"Well hello. Are you a new edition to LeafClan?" She asked. Bloo chuckled faintly.
"Quite possibly. I haven't made a decision yet." She answered humbly.
"This is Bloo, Pollybrush. Graystar has asked that we take her on a patrol around the border of our territory and show her the Rumblepath." Bushtail explained.
"She's smells faintly of two-leg place. Was she a kittypet?" Pollybrush asked.
"Is that a problem?" Bloo hissed coldly.
"Calm down now, I didn't mean any harm by what I said." Pollybrush told her. Bloo's glare ceased and she returned to her normal calm self.
"She was a kittypet, but she's thinking about joining LeafClan. Still has a lot to learn, but she could be a skilled warrior when the time comes!" Bushtail put in. Pollybrush nodded.
"Well we best get moving before the sun goes down." Pollybrush nodded...
