MISSING

I was packing ready to go to Megan's house, I was staying there for a week with my other friends, Ellie, Leah and Jade. We were all pretty close, we told each other everything.
"Lily, it's time to go!" My mum shouted from down the stairs.
"I'm coming!" I shouted back at her.
We finally arrived at Megan's house. I forgot how big and beautiful her house was and how near it was to the forest. Megan and Ellie were waiting outside to greet me. We were all excited as we had a whole week to catch up.
After a pillow fight and lots if laughter we finally managed to get to sleep.
We woke up to the smell of pancakes (my favourite). We then went downstairs to eat out pancakes.
"Megan, I would like to ask a favour of you and your friends. Would it be possible for you to travel to the other side of the forest and take some paperwork and good to Mrs Martha who lives in a small wooden cottage?" Megan's mum said.
"How long will it take?" Leah asked.
"About two to three days." Megan said.
"How do you know that Megan." Jade queried.
"I have been may times before." Megan replied.
"Yes, so she will know the way." Megan's mum said.
"Do we have to pack our bags?" I asked.
"Yes you will, we all have to take two bags each." Megan said.
We set off the next day. I had to carry my clothes and things in one bag and half the food in another bag. Some of us also had to carry the tents and bedding. Megan had to carry three bags, but I came up with the idea that we all took it in turns to carry the extra bag. We had to walk, which I didn't relish as I hate walking! Every five minutes Leah would moan so we would have to sit down and take a break. Then we would finally be on the move again.
"I want to sit down, my legs are tired!" Leah moaned.
"Look we are not sitting down again today, I don't care if your legs are tired! I'm tired but I don't moan about it, you just have to put up with it!" Megan shouted at Leah.
"But I'm tired!" Leah shouted back
"You need to learn to put up with it!" I said.
After that we walked for two hours and then it got dark so we put out tents up. Leah, Ellie and I were in one tent and Megan and Jade in the other.
I didn't get much sleep that night all I could hear we're the tree branches rattling and Leah snoring. I never thought that anyone could snore that loudly!
Breakfast was a cereal bar, a bread roll and a drink of water.
After breakfast we packed everything back into the bags and started walking. While we were walking, I could feel something big following us. I looked behind and suddenly appeared a creature that almost looked like a bear but even scarier. He was huge and covered in brown fur. His teeth were green and as sharp as knives. His paws had claws that looked like they could rip you to shreds. He roared loudly. No one seemed to move. We were petrified. I had to scream.
"Run!" I shouted. We all tried to run but Leah stayed still, she was terrified. I didn't have the guys to grab her. The creature came closer to her, I quickly ran to her and grabbed her by the hand. We then all ran as fast as we could until we found ourselves in front of a small wooden cottage. We had managed to lose the creature.
"It's Mrs Martha's house." Megan said. I rapidly knocked on the door.
"Hello." Mrs Martha said greeting us. She went right up in my face and although she seemed nice she was a little creepy.
"Come on in, you must be Megan and her friends." She said "Welcome!"
She told us to sit down. She was talking for ages. She stopped, looking at us , she kept on saying the same words over and over again.
"Sleep..... Sleep....." I found myself drifting off. I couldn't awake, then I saw the creature again roaring, blood dripping from his sharp pointed teeth. He came closer and closer I couldn't move. I was alone. I screamed. He was just about to snatch me when suddenly I found myself awake on the sofa. I certainly had woken the others when I screamed out.
"Who is that creature in the forest?" I asked Mrs Martha.
"Moorbin." Mrs Martha answered.
"Where is the bathroom?" I asked.
"Upstairs." Mrs Martha said.
I went upstairs looking in all the rooms for the bathroom. The first door has shelves full of dead creatures and bloods of rare animals. The other rooms I looked in had a huge pot with green smoke coming out of it and there on a table by the side of the pot was a book which had 'Witches spell book' on it. I couldn't believe my eyes I quickly ran downstairs.
"We need to go because Megan's mum will start to worry about us." I lied.
"It was ever so nice seeing you girls." Mrs Martha said like we were little girls. We gave her the paperwork and food and walked out of the door. I told the other girls on what I saw. They seemed shocked but they knew that I was telling the truth. We ran in a panic for a long way and soon we could see Megan's house in the distance. We stopped to take a rest. I felt really tired and worn out. It was too dark to continue so we put the tents , ate some sandwiches and tried to sleep.
The morning finally arrived. Jade and I were packing all the things away whilst the others put down the tents. We started to speed walk back to Megan's house. We arrived near the bridge which separated the forest from the village. But to our shock Moorbin was there waiting for us and staring with his evil red eyes. We went silent. I had to do something. I quickly threw one of the sharp food knifes from in the bag I was carrying at Moorbin. He cried in pain. He ran into the forest. My heart was beating so quickly but I felt relieved. Moorbin had retreated, afraid of us and fatally wounded. We quickly ran back to Megan's house. We told Megan's mum about everything we had experienced on the journey. She didn't believed us, but we know it was so true.
I don't think I am ever going to forget our terrifying journey to Mrs Martha's house and certainly won't be perusing Moorbin especially if he survived...... What if he did survive? Will he seek revenge one day?
