I was so far away from home, I didn't know how to get back. I was also very hungry. The ground was still wet, and so was I. The wind blew hard against my skin, making me shiver. I finally found someone, and I ran over to them. "Hello? Um, c-can you please help? I don't know where I am, and I'm very hungry, and-" He interrupted me. "Don't go up to anyone. People here will take this chance to have a sex toy for themselves. I can't support a child right now. Sorry, kid." He walked away. I was very confused, and followed. "If you won't help, can you at least feed me dinner?" He looked back and sighed.

"Listen kid, I'll get you McDonalds." He said. "Just this once, so you have a chance to survive." He turned around. "Listen, kid, I know it must feel terrible to be lost, and the cops here honestly are worse than the people. Nothing can save you but yourself. I'll help this one time, but you need to grow some backbone. C'mon, let's go." He held my hand, and lead me to McDonalds. "T-thank you very much sir. B-but where's Mommy, do you know?" I asked, while taking a bite of a chicken nugget.

"Sorry, kiddo, but I don't think I can help with that. All I know, is you need to stay away from people you don't know, even cops, because people pretend to be policemen, but they're really just fucked up pedophiles." He looked at me. "You're lucky I'm in a giving mood, otherwise, you'd still be hungry." He said.

I took another bite. "W-What?" I asked, not understanding what he said because of new words. "Stay away from everyone you don't know. If you see me around, feel free to say hi, but don't expect anything. If you're willing to take chances, you can talk to someone, but other than that, there's nothing here for you. Sorry, little girl. Be happy you met me." He got up, and left. "Bye..." I mumbled. "Thanks."

I looked outside, the grey everywhere making things even more hopeless and sad. I finished eating my chicken nuggets, and I got up, and walked out.

I walked on the streets, the damp concrete making the world look dull. I looked at someone, and they looked back at me. They had brown, snort hair, a dark grey sweatshirt, and ripped jeans. He had green and black looking sneakers, too. He called, "Little girl? Do you need help? I can take you home if you want." I stood, unable to decide what to do. The nice guy said to stay away, but he seems nice. Several different choices swirled in my head at once. Until eventually, he went over and dragged me into the car. "W-where are we going?" I asked. "Home." He said.

"I don't believe you." I said. "I'm going to leave now, thanks." I just opened the door, and left. "Hey! Get back here! Dang it, I should've drived off!" He ran out the car and started chasing me. I ran and ran, but they started to catch up, and I was starting to freak out. I jumped as high as I could, grabbed a tree branch, and began to climb. I climbed, and climbed, and he was yelling at me. "Get down here you fucking cunt! I'm gonna fucking kill you when I get you!" I hid in the tree the whole time.

I kept hiding, and eventually it got dark. He was still there. I was shivering, and starting to get hungry again. I stayed in the tree for an amount of days, eventually reaching the point to where I was starving. I looked out, but they were still there. How was I gonna get down?

I snapped a tree branch, and I threw it down. He yelled at me. I kept doing this until I couldn't reach any more branches. I took off my shoe, and I threw it down at full force. It hit him in the head, and by the looks of it, knocked him out, but I was too scared to go down anyways.

I was there for a full week now. Hunger pains weren't going away. Days have passed. I was starving. That's when I saw the nice guy pass by. "HEY! NICE GUY! HELP!" He looked at the person, and walked to him. He looked up. "Jump down, I'll catch you." And so I did.

He caught me, and then put me down. "It's been a week! How long have you been there?" He asked. "... a week." I said.

"Geez, you look it too." He picked up the shoe, and gave me a bagel. "Don't take food from strangers, but I'm an exception. You can trust me, I promise." He gave me the shoe too. "See ya around." He walked away.

I ate the bagel, and put on my shoe, and I walked away. What was I going to do? There's nobody to help me. I need to find Mommy.

For some reason, the clouds in the sky haven't left. I know it's spring, and spring rains happen, but this is ridicules.

It began to pour again, and I just sat on the sidewalk, and cried. "I... I miss Mommy... I miss Home... I miss all my friends... I... I even miss Daddy... just let me have it all back... please..." I was there for a while, and I eventually got up. "I have to find Mommy. She needs me." I then continued, assuring myself I'll see Mommy's face again.
