Chapter 2: The War

" Gentlemen, today we shall claim our planet, our rights and our freedom! If you die, I want you to die fighting!" General Griffren (people call him GG) yelled at his men. "Alpha Squad out!" GG yelled as Alpha squad jumped out of the jet hovering 40,000 meters above the ground. " Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Helo Squad out!" my squad got ready to jump out when suddenly, the jet shook violently. A missile blew a hole in the jet. "OUT! OUT! OUT!"

We jumped out of the plane with out hestitation, as we descend we would check for any signs of the enemy. "35,000 meters. 30,000 meters. 20,000 meters. 10,000 meters! Activate, G-10!" I yelled at my squad. Soon everyone in my squad activated their G-10 (it is a type of glider powered by our aurora.) " Shit, come on work!" I exclaim as my G-10 failed to start up. But thank the lord, soon my G-10 worked after i fiddled around with its cable. We flew in to the battlefield, with our guns blazing, we touch down.

Soon we were joined by tanks, HAVs ( heavy armored vehicle) and many attack ships. The battlefield is now covered with bullets, blood and dead bodies. The battle lasted for a whole week, so only 3 squads were left. Mine squad , Alpha and Bravo. Soon we ran out of ammunition so we used our aurora powered weapons but still we would not have enough aurora, so we decided to used our blades, when our blades were blunt, we used our fist. Soon there was only 5 people who returned from the war zone alive, i was one of the 5.

The other 4 were Blaney Woodsman, Jason Jones, Steven Kenway and Mary Jane. We soon became a squad called Squad Elite. We ate together, slept together and most importantly, we trained and learned together. We had a 4 month training on how to become a Shadow Unit. Shadow units are units which work in stealth. Like some say silent but deadly. From the 4 months, i can tell that Blaney hates me to the core. That bugger always thinks he is the best, cocky aint he? One day if he is going to die i may just walk away, pretend he is not there. Jason Jones, been in my squad since the day i joined the army, the one which always would find a way to keep us in a good mood, he is also a good solider. Steven Kenway, he is too quiet, he does not even answer me when i ask him something. Just flat out ignore me. Mary Jane, she is good, fast, has a good aim. She from the attack squad so she is good with her aurora blade. Overall i think i have a "normal standard " team, not to shabby.
