Much to Justin's dismay, the queens rearranged their seats on the plan in order for Justin and Aaron to sit next to each other. Justin couldn't help but chuckle at the girls nonsense. Aaron had requested the window seat, Justin had the middle and Detox sat on his other side. The queens had just sat down on the airplane and the flight attendants were going over the safety rules. Justin looked over at Detox, who was already dozing off since she had taken a sleeping pill since flights gave her the creeps. Justin sighed and looked straight forward and couldn't help but overthink.

It should be weird between Justin and Aaron but it wasn't? There was a sense of comfort that Justin couldn't explain but he didn't want to bring it up to the blonde to his left. What if it was all in his head? What if seeing him would cause Aaron to relapse? That was the last thing the comedy queen wanted. She may never act serious but her heart swooned for her other half. Ever since they were young kids, they were all each other had. Aaron had a shitty home life so he always came to Justin's house for the holidays and last Christmas Justin had let Aaron all alone. He doesn't think he could ever forgive himself for that.

"What are you thinking about, hm?" The soothing voice that he would always love cut him out of his thoughts. He jumped slightly at the sound and turned to look at Aaron. He could feel his throat close for a second before stuttering out, "I wasn't."

The blonde stared at the brunette with piercing eyes, "Bullshit, I know you Justin."

Justin let out a laugh and said, "How have you been, Aaron?"

He glanced back to the window as the plane started to rise above the Earth. The last time he would be in the states for a month. The tour ended three days before Christmas and he was sure he was going to spend it alone like he did last year. He turned to Justin, the man he would always love, and said, "Better. A lot better."

He couldn't help but smile bright when he saw Justin's eyes light up when he said that. "Really?"

"Yeah," He smiled, looking down at his lap where he fiddled with his hands. "I haven't used for 7 months."

Aaron swore he saw tears perk up in Justin's eyes. Justin lightly touched Aaron's arm and said, "I'm so proud of you."

Aaron couldn't look at Justin after he said that because he thought he might cry. He continued to stare at his lap and just hummed. He didn't have words to say. To know that Justin, the one person who always stood by him, until that one dreaded night, was proud. That was enough to bring joy to Aaron for the rest of his days.

The two fell into a comfortable silence even though the row in front and behind them were being loud. I mean, come on, its a bunch of drag queens, of course they are going to be loud. Aaron took advantage of this comforting silence and lowered his head onto Justin's shoulder. The ladder jumped to the new contact but soon relaxed because it was just Aaron.

It was only Aaron. It would only ever be Aaron.
