Third Person

Logan and Patton went to a regular High School and are in Junior year. Patton was a social butterfly and was friends with most people at the school, Logan was a big mystery. First he was extremely smart for a 17 year old and he would leave school for half of the week or the whole week often. He never had any friends and was kinda mean to people so know one would really try to talk to him. Some kids who were brave enough would ask where he went he just rolls his eyes and says that he went away to 'research things'. They never pushed to get a real answer and ran away, he was really going to dog shows. His mom was a really good handler and his dad helped her. Now his mom teaches at a college and his dad is the principal of the high school Logan goes to. Logan followed in her footsteps and now he's one of the top handlers in the world and for a good reason, he took care of his dogs and loved them and he was very kind to everyone at the shows. He also would help kids learn to show, now Patton was the most curious out of everyone to where Logan went. Patton tried to become friends with Logan and it sorta worked, Logan was never mean to Patton and he would tell Patton about what it was like wherever he went. Both boys both like each other but don't think the other likes them back. Now let's start with the story.

Logan's P.O.V

I walk back into school after leaving for week. I straighten my glasses and put some of my things into my locker. I sigh and roll my eyes when I feel a tap on my shoulder, I look down and see a first year. I puts her hands behind her back and looks at me "where were you last week" she says with curiousness behind her voice. I cross my arm "I went away to research, and do not touch me" I say and grab some of my books and spin on my heels and start walking to class. She scurries away and starts talking to her friend. I hear hurried footsteps start walking up to me, I look over and see the smaller boy Patton. "Salutations Patton" I say and slow down slightly, Patton smiles and waves "hi Logy" he says happily. I smile slightly "Patton why did you call me 'Logy'" I ask, Patton shrugs "It's a nickname and I like calling you that". I nod and open the classroom door, Patton sits in the back with me and sets his things down. "Where did you go last week, I missed seeing you" I says and rest one of his hands on his cheek. "I went to South Carolina" I say, Patton nods and smiles more "what was it like" he asks. "It was nice, at this time of year their weather was pleasant and the people are nice.", Patton nods "I want to go there, I've heard that it's a nice place to go". "If you want to know it is very nice" I say, Patton nods.

After our classes we both head to lunch, we sit in the back and start eating "I like that we have all the same classes" Patton says. I look up from my book, "it is nice" I say. Patton smiles and takes a bite from his sandwich, after a minute or so of comfortable silence Patton breaks the silence "what did your mom do before she was a teacher". "She showed dogs" I say and start to regret telling him that, Patton's eyes light up "she did". I nod and smile slightly "she did yes", Patton smiles more "my parents dog show" he says. I raise my eyebrow "they do", he nods happily "well my mom dog shows and my dad helps her". "That's what my parents use to do" I say and smile more, Patton giggles I tilt my head "what are you laughing at" I asked. Patton looks up at me "you smiled" he says, "why is that so funny" I asked and put my book down "because it's cute when you smile Logy and you never smile" he says. I nod "I guess I don't smile that much" I say.
