Louis was sitting cross legged on the closed toilet seat in the stall that was the furthest away from the door of the bathroom.
He had his headphones on and they were playing his favourite playlist like they did every break.
He started doing this sometime last year when he realised that listening to music in a cool bathroom stall was by far better than sitting or standing elsewhere out on the school yard alone.
And alone was something he was most of the time but it's not like he minded too much.

Louis was a senior now and he felt a lot cooler than he did last year. Maybe it was because he grew a few more centimetres over summer break and was now (almost) a proud 5'8 or maybe because there were now finally freshmen that were shorter than him.

The bell rang and Louis shoved his phone together with his headphones back in his bag and opened the stall door.

On his way out, he took a quick peek in the mirror over the sink to make sure his hair still looked as soft as he made it look this morning and his suspenders weren't twisted in a weird way.
Then he headed out for his history period which was also his favourite because one, he was (usually) good at it like he was at most subjects (except math and physics) and two, his seat mate.

Harry.

Harry was charming and intelligent and much to Louis delight he was also ridiculously good looking.

Louis' had a crush on him since the first English period of the year when Harry was put next to him at the table.

He straightened his shirt one last time before he entered the room where a few other students were already taking out their pens and history books.

His eyes wandered around the class room until they landed on his table to check if Harry was already there. He wasn't.
Louis sighed and walked over to their table in the last row.
He really hoped Harry would show up eventually because this wasn't going to be half as exciting without the curly haired boy next to him.

About a minute had passed after Louis had sat down and taken out all of his stuff when the door opened and a few students walked in. Under them Harry.

A little bit of adrenaline surged through Louis when he saw him but he didn't let it show. Over time, he had learned to act calm when Harry was around, mainly because Harry had asked him if he was alright after Louis had accidentally spit out his sip of water trying to answer a question Harry had just asked him and he really wanted to avoid turning cherry red in front of him again.

So here he was.

Harry offered him a smile as he walked over to Louis and Louis smiled back and for just a brief moment, he let his eyes wander up and down Harry's body.

He was wearing black suit trousers and matching black shoes paired with a white button up that was unbuttoned almost half the way and exposed most of his chest.
He had his bag thrown over his shoulder but once he stepped next to Louis, he lowered it onto his chair.

"Hey Louis!"

Louis felt a shiver run down his spine at how deep Harry's voice was.
He could do this.

"Hey!" Louis replied.

"I think Mrs Nixon said last time that she'll give us our class tests back today. How do you think ya did?"

Right. Over the course of the last week, Louis had completely forgotten about the class tests. Shit. If he remembered correctly, he hadn't even been finished with all the tasks, not to mention control reading his summary.

"Um well I think it might be getting away with like a D+ or summat like that... what about you?"

Harry chuckled but nodded. "Same here. I think I fucked up big time. We'll see I guess." He replied.

"Yeah, we'll see.." Louis responded. He wanted to keep talking but he figured there would we another opportunity to do so and he didn't want to bother Harry.

The class started and they all started taking notes on whatever Mrs Nixon was saying.
Towards the end of the period, Mrs Nixon took out a folder with their class tests and as she handed them out, she started talking.

"I have to say, my dears, you have really disappointed me this time. The average of this test was a C-. It seems like most of you have not thoroughly understood the topic which is why I've come to the conclusion that I want everyone to prepare a ten minute long presentation with a partner on a topic that I'm going to assign to each group.

Mrs Nixon was standing in front of their table now and handed them their tests.
Louis opened it and let out a huge sigh when he saw he'd managed to get a C.
When he looked over at Harry, the boy had a huge grin on his face and looked over at him.

"You got a C?" He asked, still grinning.

"Yeah oh god I'm so relieved. What have you got?" He quickly replied.

"Got a C as well. Good job to us I guess."

"Yes Good job to-"

"Silence please!" Mrs Nixon shouted from the front, causing the class to go quiet once again.

"So we have only got about 10 minutes left so I'm going to assign each of you a partner and then a topic to work on. The presentation will be due Thursday in two weeks."

There could be sighs and groans heard around the class and most of the students were looking around as if they were checking who would be the absolute worst to work together with.

Mrs Nixon started reading out names. Louis was resting his head on folded arms and kept looking at the table top. He'd never been very lucky with getting good partners and he was already prepared to be paired with the person with the lowest IQ in the class when he heard Mrs Nixon say his name.

"Jade and Brittany, Niall and Ryan, Louis and Harry.."

Louis promptly lifted his upper body from his laying position and stared at Harry who was staring back, grinning as ever. Louis tried very hard to ignore the dimples that had appeared on his cheeks.

"Umm, is that ok with you?" Louis asked quickly. He didn't want to get on Harry's nerves. On the inside he was praying Harry would be fine with it because this just got a thousand times more exciting.

" 'Course it is. C's gotta be working together innit?" Harry answered.

Louis felt more adrenaline being pumped to his chest but he nodded steadily.
His head was filled with screams of 'oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god'.

He couldn't help the little smile that stole it's way onto his lips.
