After Tom finished calling Valentin, we exchanged numbers and we only chatted a few minutes before I had to go yesterday. Hearing my phone buzz, I jerked up out of bed only to find a text on my lock screen.

Tom-the-Oh-Mighty-Lord: Valentin wants you to be in the building at his office by 9:00 sharp. don't forget to dress nice and address him with 'sir' or 'Mr. Grandes'. baiiiiii!

I cannot believe what he put himself as in my contact list. Tom-the-Oh-Mighty-Lord, really? I make a mental note to confront him about that when I get to the office.

I look at my screen and see it's 7:30. Smiling, I get up and saunter to the bathroom as I grab my toothbrush as I begin my day.

I slipped on my white turtleneck and a plaid skirt after I got out of the shower. As I grab my flat-iron and plug it in, I see it's already 8:30. I quickly curl the tips of my dirty blonde hair, letting it fall to my waist, then applying some mascara to bring out my blue eyes. I run to my closet quickly and grab a pair of knee-high black boots. I rush down the stairs of my apartment, grabbing my trench coat off the banister.

Not even putting food in my mind, I grab my pocketbook and close the door.

After a smooth car ride of 15 minutes, I step out of my white Mercedes-Benz and shut the door as I make my way to the entrance of the building. I felt major déjà vu as I heard my heels clank against the gray tiles. I saw the woman who was at the front desk wave at me and I waved back, trying to be at the office on time.

When I stepped in the elevator, it was crowded with people. You would think that the elevator would be crowded yesterday since it was full of interviews.

It took about 10 minutes until the elevator got to my floor. I looked at my watch and it was 8:55. And it took me a good 5 minutes to walk to the office from the elevator. So I walked at a face pace, not trying to make myself look like a complete fool by running.

I knocked on the door three times until a heard the same booming voice as yesterday. Good old Tom.

I walked in to find myself a tall, fair man with platinum blonde; almost white hair and blue eyes standing next to Tom, both men looking at me in a serious manner. I glance for a quick second to see, who I'm presuming is Mr. Grandes, looking up and down at my skinny hourglass figure, while he smirks and runs a hand through his already messy hair.

"Alexandra, meet Mr. Valentin Grandes. You will be serving him and any guests that step foot in the White House," Tom speaks after clearing his throat, uncomfortable with the silence. It's amazing how someone can act completely different when other people are around!

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Grandes. It'll be a pleasure serving you and I hope we get along," I spoke politely before stepping up and shaking his hand.

"The same goes for me." his deep, husky voice replied, making knots in my stomach.

I let go of his hand as I step back to my respected place. All of a sudden, I heard a ding coming from a cellphone, which I know isn't mine since I silenced it before I walked into the office.

"Excuse me."

Mr. Grandes stepped to the corner of the room. I felt a pure wave of guilt rush over me as I overheard his conversation.
