I couldn't keep that French girl off my mind all morning. She was just...

It was rare to get students at this point of the year, but it was even rarer for the student to be out of the country. I'm sure she'll be the talk of the school for a few days.

As the morning classes went by, the lunch bell rang and almost everyone immediately got up. I'd usually wait for everyone to leave so that I didn't have to be stuck in the hallways filled with people.

But people didn't leave the damn room! Everyone was crowding the new girl and I was pissed. I mean yeah, I had a little gay moment with her in my head but still, that didn't mean I wanted to crowd her and bombard her with personal questions!

My antisocial ass got up from my seat and walked to exit the classroom. But as soon as I saw the sea of hormonal teenagers, I instantly shut the door and walked right back to my seat.

Sigh. I guess I was gonna have lunch with everyone today.

Usually for lunch, I would eat outside, but considering it was fucking -10 degrees outside and I was wearing a stupid uniform skirt, it was a hard pass from me. Whenever I was eating inside though, I'd stay in the classroom with a few other people and eat. But I guess I wasn't doing either of those today.

As I sat in my seat, I started to unwrap the cloth that covered my lunch box.
"Hey, hey new girl. How long have you been in Japan?" one of my male classmates asked.

I didn't dare look back, because if I did, I would be involved in the conversation. So I decided to eavesdrop.

"I've only been in Japan for about a month now."
Everyone around her were in awe.

"How can you can speak Japanese so well?" a girl inquired.

She giggled. BA-DUMP.
Fuck. There goes my bitch ass heart. Why did her giggle have to be so damn cute?

"Well, I've been studying Japanese since I was a little girl. Considering the fact that I'm a third Japanese."

"A THIRD JAPANESE? THAT'S SO COOL! What other languages can you speak?" Everyone surrounding her practically shouted.

She went silent for a moment. I assumed she was just thinking.

"I can speak French, Japanese, and English. All fluently."

Everyone appalled her and kept asking her questions while I sat in my seat, eating my lunch quietly.

She truly was a unique and interesting person. A girl like her would never notice me.
