3. The one with the first date

"Yes, Kong is cheese like that", I said smiling, making my family laugh. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind, making my face grow darker.

"Dad are you ok?" asked Lila in a small voice, worry visible in her eyes.

"Uh... yeah,yes, I'm fine sweety, don't worry please." I replied with a smile, that didn't reach my eyes.

I coughed, bringing the attention to me. Everyone quited down and gazed at me expectantly.

"Let me tell you about our first date".

It was Friday and everyone in university had high spirits. I was looking forward for Saturday, finally I get to spend the weekend with my boyfriend. We could barely see each other this week and I was missing him terribly. I made my way to the canteen and immediately spotted him sitting with his friends.

"Sawadee khrub P" the juniors greeted me.

"Sawadee Nongs. Kongpob, can I talk to you?"

"Sure P" he gifted me with his signature dazzling smile, freezing me up.

"P'Arthit? P'.... let's go P".

I recovered from my stupor and followed him to an empty table in the corner of canteen.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"Egh... Kong... Do you want to go to the mall tomorrow? I need to buy some clothes and I hate shopping. And all my friends are busy tomorrow," I added a lie. Don't know why.

"Sure P'. Is this a date?" He asked smirking.

I just wanted to kiss that smirk off of his face.

"I don't think so Kong" I tried to sound annoyed.

"Ok P'. I'll see you tomorrow then," I was about to leave when he tagged on my shirt and whispered "do I get my 'thanks for coming with me' kiss?"

"Kongpob!!!" I snarled a bit too loud, gaining the attention from bystanders.

He just laughed and walked away smugly. I blushed hard and followed the suit.

After the classes, my friends and I were sitting on the steps by the entrance door, talking about our plans.

"Let's hang out tomorrow," Bright suddenly blurted, "it's been forever since we were all together"

"I can't tomorrow, I have plans" I responded too soon.

"Oh, what plans Arthit? Did you score yourself a date with someone? Perhaps certain 0062?"

I smacked Bright on the head, disguising my shy blush as an angry one.
"What are you talking about? I told the student council president I'll help him with something" Man, I'm getting better at lying.

Knott eyed me suspiciously, but thankfully didn't say anything.

"How about you guys? Are you up to a pizza and video games at my place?"

"Yes." Toota, Prem, and Knott responded together.
After a little more talking we realized it was getting dark and decided to bid our good byes. I headed to my dorm.

Unexpectedly, someone snaked their hands around my waist and pulled me into a hug. I knew right away who it was by the scent, exuding from him.

"Kong? What are you doing?"

"I really missed you P", he whispered nuzzling the back of my head, "can I stay for a little with you? Please na? Na, na, na?"

I was missing him myself, so I wasn't opposed to the idea of having dinner together. He just doesn't need to know that.
