Taught vs. Learned
You are told from birth how to act,
Taught who to speak with, who to share with,
Shown how the world works,
but when no one's there,
You are unleashed,
Breaking free from your chains and spreading your arms out wide,
You feel the rain, the air, the earth, the grass,
You feel,
We are told not to feel,
Not to care about those who are not of our own origin,
We are taught that money is more valuable than love or living life,
So let us not be taught, but let us learn, because if we are never to learn but from our own mistake,
The world would surely be a better place.
