Danielle's P.O.V.

I watched as the light from Matt's 'tattoo' died down. It always shone liquid silver like his eyes whenever he used his powers. My 'tattoo' and eyes glowed electric blue when my powers were used. Glancing up at Matt's sleeping face as he was sprawled across my bed, I smiled and tip-toed out of the room. After walking downstairs, I made my way to the kitchen. I froze, my hand halfway to the cupboard. Something didn't feel right. My eyes widened and I ducked right as a giant thorn embedded itself into the wood where my head was half a second ago. I twirled my body around and gasped. I had no idea what I was looking at, but it was horrible.

'Matt get down here now!' I sent through the telepathic link we have.

'Ugg, do I have to?' he tiredly responded. I dodged as the creature whipped its tail at me.

'Yes! Get your rear end down here now! We're being attacked!' That got his attention. I heard him race downstairs as I blocked its next attack with a frying pan that somehow made its way to my hand. I saw him stop and gape at the thing.

"What on earth is that?!" He yelled at me.

"How am I supposed to know?" I snapped at him as I whacked its tail away from me with the frying pan. The creature looked like a cross between ugly and really ugly. It had a wolf head, glowing red eyes burning with hatred, and a mouth full of razor sharp fangs. The body of a grizzly bear with brown fur encrusted with dried blood. Its legs were green and had scales covering it. The tail was like a crocodile's with giant thorn spikes protruding out of it. And enormous hybrid bat wings emerging from its back. All in all, it was really ugly and really terrifying. I saw Matt's eyes light up silver as balls of fire formed in his hands. He chucked the fire at the creature, it roared and turned towards Matt.

"Oh crud," I heard him mumble. The creature reared up and charged towards Matt, he dived out of the way and ran around the room with it behind him. I hated the thought of doing it, but I knew I had to. I felt immense power surge through me and I felt my eyes glow as I thought 'ice'. I concentrated on the creature as it attacked Matt. I saw it stiffen and whip its head to look at me. A block of ice was slowly encasing it. With a final roar the ice rose over its head. I sighed with relief and looked over at Matt, who was bent over with a hand on his knee as he caught his breath. He looked up and we smiled at each other. Right as I felt my eyes return to normal a loud crack came from the ice block. I looked closer at it and saw the creature's mouth was tinged with orange and red as the cracking increased.

"Oh crap, Matt, run!" I yelled as I raced towards the door with him beside me. We made it outside when I heard a small explosion and an angry roar.

"Not good!" Matt stated as the creature dragged itself outside and glared at us. For the next hour, give or take, Matt and I battled the Plasma (it means creature in Greek), neither side winning or losing. I charged the Plasma, my hands on fire, my eyes ablaze, surging with power. I summoned a sword made of blue fire and stabbed the beast. It bellowed with rage and pain. The Plasma swiped at me and barely missed. I gasped in pain when I felt its claws graze my side. Matt saw this and tried to run to me. He didn't make it that far. I watched with horror as the Plasma whipped its tail around and lodged it in his left shoulder. Matt screamed in pain. I started to get up to help him, but he looked me in the eye,

"Go!" he yelled. Immediately after, the Plasma flung him into a nearby wall rendering him unconscious. With tears in my eyes I thought, 'Somewhere safe,'. I landed on something cold, then I unceremoniously passed out.
