"Wait, what?" I asked.

"You need us to steal for you?" Theo said.

"Essentially."

Theo's jaw tightened. "What exactly did you have in mind?"

"Oh, just some gold."

"Theo, are you really considering stealing from someone?"

Flynn turned to me, "Oh don't worry hun, this someone's a real jackass, he deserves it."

"And why's that?" Theo asked.

"Cares about nothing but money. Doesn't matter who gets in the way. I just wanna give him a taste of his own medicine."

"Why do you need our help?" Theo said.

"Lives in the inner circle, robbing from anyone in their is seemingly impossible for a small group. But I might be able to pull it off with a couple of Arikans."

Theo sat in silence for a moment, then said, "What's the plan?"

"Theo!"

"What?"

"Aren't we going to talk about this first?"

"There's nothing to talk about."

"So we're just gonna go off and steal for him?!"

"If that's what it takes to get him to help us, than yes. Besides we'd already agreed on it."

"That doesn't make it right."

"Yes, but it makes it necessary."

I tightened my lips. I knew he was right, but it still seemed wrong.

Theo signaled for Flynn to begin talking, and he explained the plan to us in full detail.

Afterwards, I did a mental recap. We would be at the inner circle of the city by the evening, and he has some note to get us into the gate with a cart of hay. Discarding the cart in the street, we make our move at night fall. We'll enter over the wall at a blind spot, and Flynn will take out any of the guards that might be on patrol on the wall. Then we would split up, Theo and I inside stealing the gold, while Flynn went and created a distraction.

Flynn had made a sketch of mine and Theo's route through the house, including some hiding spots.

"How do you know so much about the inside of the house?" I asked.

"And why is it that you want to rob this particular man?" Theo added.

"It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you two get the gold from the basement and up to the back door."

"What happened to the money from there? " I asked.

"Don't worry about it, all you need to focus on is getting it to the door. I've got the rest covered. Now, Skyler, I'll show you how to tie the bags together."

He picked up two bags that were filled. Weighing them a bit, he began cutting some slits into the fabric of the bags, and looped a rope through them. After tying off a couple knots, he created a sling on his shoulder with a bag at either end. He took it off his shoulder, and slung it over Theo's.

"How many of these do you think you could carry?" Flynn asked.

Theo held the rope, estimating the weight of the two bags. "About eight or nine bags." Flynn nodded to himself in thought.

"You two need to memorize this map, and Sky, you practice making the bag slings. There's some more bags and rope by that chest. I have some business to attend to, in the mean time, memorize that map." And then he was gone.
