Entry #5: How to Tell Someone You Are a Therian

Hello, everyone! I don't have an entry for today because there's nothing to write about yet. So, I thought I'd make a post about advice!

Before you tell someone that you are a therian, remember that it is not necessary for the person to know immediately. You can tell them whenever you're ready.

This is perhaps the common challenge for a therian - explaining to someone the works of therianthropy. Here's how to do just that :3

Step 1) Ask them if they know what therianthropy is. If they don't know, explain it to them. If they do, continue to step 2.
How to explain therians: Start along the lines of "There is something called therianthropy. It is where someone believes they have a past life as an animal or have an animal's spirit. It is like a spiritual belief in a way." Of course, you can change it up to match how you feel about therianthropy.

Step 2) Ask them their opinion on it.
Simply ask, "What do you think about it?" And they will give your their thoughts.

Step 3) If they have a positive response, go ahead and tell them you are a therian!
If they have a negative reaction, here's the tough part:
You will have to decide whether to tell them or not. If you do, they'll either think that you're strange or they'll accept you nonetheless, it depends on the person that you tell. Remember to be careful of who you tell. You don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to.

Step 4) Answer any questions they might have about therians.
