Chapter Seven: Evening Time

Flare and Essence were both in the kitchen making omelettes for dinner while Evie, Aphrodite, Glacy, Meadow, Ocean, Thunder and Midnight were all having fun with Xerneas. They were all talking and laughing. Midnight was teaching everyone Origami, which Evie and Aphrodite were failing miserably at.

Flare and Essence were busy cracking eggs and mixing vegetables into the eggs to make omelettes. They were making potatoe and bell pepper omelettes with cheese and were busy washing and chopping the vegetables.

Flare used Flame Thrower on the stove and placed a pan on top. She cracked a few eggs in a big mixing bowl and added salt, pepper and some milk to mixture. She added a small pinch of sugar and whisked it all together.

Flare then melted some butter in the pan and added in the bell peppers and potatoes and stirred them until they were tender. Essence was shredding some cheese with a cheese grater into a small bowl. Flare melted some butter in the pan and then poured in the egg mixture. She let the eggs cook for two minutes and then gently lifted the edges and let the uncooked eggs run to the edges and let it cook for another two minutes. Essence sprinkled the eggs with cheese and spooned in the vegetable mixture. They let it cook for another two minutes and then gently folded the omelette and slid it onto a plate.

The omelette was huge. Big enough for the entire family. They would probably still have leftovers afterwards. Essence topped the omelette with some parsley while Flare began to set the table. Flare brought a pitcher of milk into the dining room while Essence brought in the omelette.

"Omelette's ready!" Essence called into the living room.

"Get it while it's hot!" Flare added.

Everyone started filing in, one by one. They all took their seats at the table. Evie, Aphrodite, Glacy, Meadow, Midnight, Thunder, Ocean and Xerneas's  eyes nearly bulged out of their heads when they saw the size of the omelette.

"That thing's huge!" Thunder shouted, making elaborate and dramatic gestures towards the omelette.

"It's humongous!" Midnight yelled, his red eyes wide.

"We can't possibly eat all that!" Glacy said, her eyes wide.

"It's ginormous!" Evie exclaimed, her mouth opened.

"It's enormous!" Meadow yelled.

"We're gonna have leftovers for months!" Aphrodite shouted.

"Is it even healthy to eat that many eggs?" Ocean asked.

"Well it all depends on the individual." Essence began. "It's all actually pretty interesting. According to a science journal i read, there was a study involving a man that ate twenty-five eggs per day and he was in perfect health. Of course the way one individual responds to extreme egg consumption can't be extrapolated to the whole population, but it's pretty interesting nonetheless." She finished.

"Still, you couldn't have made an egg white omelette?" Ocean asked, still staring at the ginormous omelette in front of her.

"Do you know how hard it is to separate the egg yolks from the egg whites?!" Flare exclaimed.

"You guys would have died of hunger by the time we got enough egg whites to make an omelette!" Flare shouted.

"I for one am grateful for all the hard work you girls put into making this delicious looking omelette." Xerneas said.

"Thank you!" Flare said.

"Yes, thank you Mother, we were starting to feel underappreciated." Essence said.

"You're welcome." Xerneas said as she started digging into the omelette.

Everyone else mumbled their thanks as they began eating. Flare and Essence took their seats and started tucking into the omelette.
